This is a brilliant number 3.
I love so much the live version, where
the backdrop video gave the song an additional value.

Great choice!
By the time it came out it was different from everything she had released .
The video is superb as well !
I have to say once again that your countdown is very unusual , yet it´s great (It´s coming from a stan and you know Madonna stans are hard to please )
Good job!

Thanks for the feedback! :)

It looks like 'Secret' is really popular, but I'm not sure about the next song. I know there are a few people who don't like it.

5. Bad Girl
The music video of this song is my favorite video ever!
The song is fantastic as well... great lyrics, great production and Madonna's voice is perfect on this one.

4. You Must Love Me
Very classy one.

3. Secret
Another great song... Madonna + mmmm mmmm = can't never go wrong!

The Evita soundtrack is beautiful. Many many good tracks, and Antonio Banderas did a great job as well. You Must Love Me is the best, deserved top 10 placing.
When you walked out you did me a favor
It's absolutely clear to me
That love is a bourgeois construct

"You Must Love Me" is beautiful and probably the best she's ever sounded. The best track on the Evita OST for me!

2. Take A Bow

Seriously, did nobody see this one coming? :o

I think 'Take a Bow' is one of the most beautiful songs ever, and is definitely Madonna's best ballad. It has that signature 90's R&B sound, which was perfect for when it released, hence why it managed to become her biggest US hit, despite Madonna not even being very popular at the time.

I know some fans find this song boring and overrated and they're quite annoyed that it will always remain Madonna's biggest hit in the US. Sometimes, even I find the song a bit dull if I'm not in the right mood to listen to it, but most of the time, it is a joy to listen to and it builds up so nicely. The bridge is perfection and Madonna's vocals throughout are great. The video is also one of her best and I remember seeing it be played a lot when I was a kid.

The production is lovely and so mature. I think Babyface really worked well with Madonna so for me, it's a shame that she rejected him for 'Ray of Light' because I would have liked to hear them make some more music together.

As Biscuits himself said this song is boring, annoying, and overrated...how it could be such a smash in the Usa chart is beyond me.

A really good choice to your runner-up.

Take a Bow is a very good ballad, pleasant and smart.

Its video is excellent. Theme, production, cinematography and editing.

Plus, Madonna rolling around on a bed in her panties >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Take a Bow" is a very good ballad, I just don´t know what misses in order to be qualified as one of her best singles ...
The video is awesome and very original ( and I agree that the part when she´s rolling on a bed in her panties >>>>>>>>>> )
But I don´t know... :-? All in all it´s just ok.

I think I like the fact that 'Take a Bow' remains quite underrated, despite being her biggest US hit.
