The song isn't a decade old yet so I can't categorize it under "Retro", so "Pure Pop" for now.

lmao #12 on UK iTunes right now. I'm going to guess it was performed on The Voice UK....

This hit #29 on the Hot 100 and #1 on the country chart back in 2005 and will now become a chart hit in the UK. :o

Rascal Flatts have never had a UK hit before, but their song "What Hurts the Most" was covered by dance group Cascada and made it to #10.

:o Can't believe this is going to be a hit! :D It was actually covered by someone on the final Britain's Got Talent. There are three versions currently charting in the top 200 on UK iTunes now.

"What Hurts The Most" was actually recorded first by Mark Wills. The first version to be released as a single was by Jo O'Meara in 2005 (which was a hit in the UK) before Rascal Flatts released their version in the US in 2006. The Cascada version was also released in 2007, before the Rascal Flatts version was released in the UK in 2008, which is why theirs wasn't a hit!

Both top comments say, "I knew this song before Sam Kelly". I'm guessing that's the person who performed it? :P

No probs! It's confusing because all the different versions seem to have been hits in different countries first!

Yes, it was indeed Sam Kelly (couldn't remember his name).

The song features on the UK version of the self-titled 2000 debut as well as their 2004 Feels Like Today album.

The original of this is by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band then co-writer Marcus Hummon then Rascal Flatts.

I've always found this OK but Rascal Flatts generally annoy me.

This is free falling on iTunes. This probably won't even make the top 40 on Sunday.

I should have put (76) in brackets! Now corrected! It said on Music Week that some sales were not accounted for last week and should have been 69-ish.
