Is that 2 weeks in a row it has improved from its mid-week position in the UK?

What do you mean with "let's hope the waiting will be worthy"? Madonna by that time will be on tour....not chance of promo or something, it's not like a live video (which is nothing else that a way to mask her lazyness to shoot a real video)could do something.
I think if they release this third single simultaneously around the world with the live video accompanying it by release´s time , maybe there´s a chance to create a buzz and consequently generate interest for it (the chances are bigger depending on the chosen song and the quality of the video/performance).
Especially because the tour will have started and the press/media will be all over it.
Let´s see how this will be handled...

As stated, it is better than nothing. But knowing her performances are top-notch, we can expect a great video no doubt. If Interscope can handle this PROPERLY than it has a shot at having a decent impact.

It has been rumoured that TUTR will receive the guitar treatment for the tour: let's hope this voice is fake, finger crossed guys

Not sure about the rest of your query.
A big underperformer in HK as well...I think "Confessions Tour" was #1 for like 9 straight weeks...
Celebration spent several weeks at no.1 as well if I remember correctly

dik wrote:Cut all the drama! As said before Madonna has become a classic rock act (no offense) She sells 1,5 million albums without doing some tv appearances. Her tour is the most important thing right now. I expect she will give us a great show and along the way she'll sell some MDNA. BTW have you seen the sales of Bruce Springsteen!!! Great reviews, bad selling.
The US of A doesn't appreciate their heroes!!
Bruce Springsteen is selling fairly well and has absolutely no hits. "We Take Care Of Our Own" hasn't entered ANY official chart while Madonna has had 3 songs charting even though none of them has made it big. And Springsteen's selling power hasn't been that huge for many years now. For his standards "Wrecking Ball" is doing pretty well worldwide, still being higher in many countries than MDNA released several weeks later.

it is beyond my comprehension... 653k people will go to her concert and the album sold 456k copies. considering she always performs almost the complete new album and a few oldies, more than 200k will attend a show listening to Mdna songs for the first time.
and they could have had the album for free!
Many people didn't redeem the album...
Not necessarily. Many could have bought their tickets in traditional outlets instead of ordering online, I guess.

spiritboy wrote:Sad news for haters, while you are busy trying to bring Madonna down, she's gonna generate around $500m this year. 8-)

Now, who owns the throne 8-)
You are the only hater here if this type of comment is all you can come up with. Not to mention how off topic that is!

That's false
65 MADONNA MDNA 6617 -29 9322 456332
Of course all these statements are false, alek always artificially inflates figures. In Japan sales went down from 5,209 to 4,586 and in most of European countries the album slid down the charts so why would the sales be the same?

Probably not yet as last week she was at roughly 95,5k so I doubt she sold 4,5 this week alone.

You've been repeating it for months now. We get your point.

There definitely won't be a simultaneaous release around the world because "Girl Gone Wild" is only now being released in the UK and Ireland. The physical singles was just made available and VH1 is starting to play the video.

That's not true.
We take care of Our Own charted in the official singles list many countries like Denmark, Ireland, USA (bubbling under and rock songs), Japan, U.K.,South Korea (international single downloads, Spain).

Also saying that Madonna had 3 songs and that none made it big is highly debateable (even Masterpiece made it on the top 10 airplay there in the combined chart).

Well Mother's Day had a considerable impact on MDNA considering that it was in the 300/400 range on iTunes as late as yesterday and is now in the mid 200s and improving every update!! The price cut for standard is also in the top 100 Pop!!
Same MDNA but Born This Way

You do realize the differences in the 100's on the iTunes chart can be as little as a few copies right? lol

In UK albums #36 sold 3,901 and #42 sold 3,409 so MDNA is somewhere in between

Maroon, you call me a hater but you're actually the hater disguised as a Madonna fan. You can't patronize us here, we all have opinions to share. You are always the one who look at the empty side of glass, it's like you like humiliating MDNA's failure. It's not always albums sales or single sales. None of the legends above can sell out an arena date here in Istanbul, let alone a stadium so leave the attitude. If you don't like MDNA, i'm sorry but majority of fans here enjoy it immensely, so we don't care how much it sold at this point, as clearly Madonna and Interscope don't care.
