Incredible record.

29 UK iTunes after it was performed on The Voice UK by Bo Bruce.

I like her and it's an OK version.

It's a great song. I also love Placebo's version and Within Temptation's cover is growing on me.

Almost every version i've heard is good.

I'd rank covers (as none come close to Kate despite many being very good indeed):

1. Within Temptation (not as faithful as some below but as an overall track it's my fave)
2. Nolwenn Leroy (dark pop, probably the most sincere cover)
3. Faith and The Muse (dark wave rock)
4. Purple Crush (synth pop/ dance)
5. Placebo
6. Levy 9 (trance)
7. Natalie Gauci (Australian Idol)
8. Bo Bruce (full clip with her back story about the song)
9. Serena (chillout pop)
10. Tori Amos (medley with God - live)
11. Kerli
12. Kiki and Herb (famous drag act - admirable version!!)
13. Little Boots
14. Theo Bleckmann (art-rock, from his album of Kate covers Hello Earth)
15. Chromatics (indie/ synth)

It's like Cohen's Hallelujah - infinitely workable, rarely messed up.

Will Young and Patrick Wolf have also done it and can be heard on YouTube.

Kate herself wanted it to be called "Deal With God" but the record company feared a backlash from the religious lobby and said change it.

It seems you can get in a lot of trouble using God in a song title  The Beach Boys did too with God Only Knows. That's what EMI were afraid of!

It pains me to see people praising Bo's version on YouTube at the expense of Kate's version - which actually is one of the greatest records in chart history IMO.

It took me a long time to get this record, but its absolutely incredible, as Tony pointed out in the OP.

Just got a message from Kate Bush. Not sure what to do with myself. http://www.katebush.com/news/best-wishes-bo
Dear Bo, Many congratulations on your fantastic performance last night on The Voice. I thought it was really beautiful and very moving. I feel so proud of you. Good luck for tonight and very best wishes to you and your mum.

With love,
Kate Bush xx
Was just mentioned on the show. Kate as gracious as ever.
