Mind if I sit down?
Can I buy you a round?
Haven't seen your face before
Are you new in town?
It's the same old line
Oh every time
Are you here alone?
Can I take you home?

Now every woman sees
With every "pretty please"
There's a pair of lyin' eyes
And a set of keys
He says come be a star
In the back seat of my car
Oh but baby slow down
You're goin' way too far

Let me make it clear
To you my dear

Chorus:
If you're not
In it for love (baby)
If you're not
Willin' to give it all you got
If you're not in it for life
If you're not in it for love
Let me make it clear
To you my dear
If you're not in it for love
I'm outta here!

Babe I can change your world
Make you a cover girl
Yeah you could be a beauty queen
In a magazine
Now tell me, what's your sign?
Why always the same old line?
I'll be number 409
If you change your mind

Let me make it clear
To you my dear

(Repeat Chorus)

(Lead Solo)

(Repeat Chorus)

If you're not in it for life
If you're not in it for love
I'm outta here
This is how everything started to me! I saw the live performance at the Billboard Awrds on Youtube and I feel in love with her. The lyrics are epic!

#7 is a great song, I first heard it when I watched a YouTube performance in which Celine and Michael Jackson were in the front row! 8-)

I thought I might begin by filling you in,
In case you didn't already know
I'll never forget how you got up and left
In fact it was downright pretty low
There ain't no way I want to
You know I ain't going to
Take you back, so don't even try
You can beg, you can plead,
You can sweat, you can bleed
Too bad I could care if you cry

That's it! (That's all!) We had fun
(We had a ball!)
It was good while it lasted,
But now I'm past it
(It was sure!) It was sweet
Sure you swept me off my feet
I miss you now and then
But would I do it all again, nah,

[Chorus]
You won't find me
Naked and cold just a sitting
On the doctor's table
Waiting to be told just a why
I'm no longer able
To feel my heart beating,
Give me a good reason why
I kind of went numb just around
About the time you told me
You were moving on, and you
Said that you were going to phone me
It's been so long, and there
Ain't nothing wrong with the line

It's too late to regret it
But you're the one who said it
We're better off being apart
I hate to be a downer
But don't bother coming 'round here
Cause I won't have a change of heart

That's it! (That's all!) We had fun
(We had a ball!)
It was good while it lasted,
But now I'm past it
(It was sure!) It was sweet
Sure you swept me off my feet
I miss you now and then
But would I do it again, nah,

[Chorus]

Nah

Well, I hope you learned a lesson
Cause you'll never be messing
With my head again the way that you did
It was never going to work; you were
Too much of a jerk
I'm finally fed up with it

That's it! (That's all!) We had fun
(We had a ball!)
It was good while it lasted,
But now I'm past it
(It was sure!) It was sweet
Sure you swept me off my feet
I miss you now and then
But would I do it all again, nah,

[Chorus]
AWESOME song. The lyrics >>>>>. Her voice >>>>>>>. The music >>>>>>>. Nah! is the highest ranked non single track on my countdown.

Man! I Feel Like A Woman!: 9.5/10 - Probably my fave Shania song. It's so catchy and such an anthem! This is one of the songs that proves why she's the undisputed Queen of Country music.

(If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here!: 9.5/10 - Wow, I really liked this one! Great lyrics, catchy beat, strong vocals! :D

Nah!: 9/10 - Epic! :o I can't really say anything bad about this song. I love it!

Superb batch, Matt! :o

(I do swear that I'll always be there. I'd give anything
and everything and I will always care. Through weakness
and strength, happiness and sorrow, for better, for worse,
I will love you with every beat of my heart.)

From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on

You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment
I will love you as long as I live
From this moment on
Okay everybody knows this song. Just amazing. I can't write any bad words about the song. Blows me away everytime I listen to it.

Well he shines like a penny in a little kids hand
When he's out on a Saturday night
He's a real go-getter and the best two-stepper you'll see
But when I'm sittin' alone at a table for two
'Cause he's already out on the floor
I think about somethin' that my mama used to say to me

You got to dance with the one that brought you
Stay with the one that wants you
The one who's gonna love you when all of the others go home
Don't let the green grass fool ya
Don't let the moon get to ya
Dance with the one that brought you and you can't go wrong

He's got his old best buddies and his new best friends
And the girls all give him the eye
He's a good time Charlie and the life of the party tonight
But when I think about another well I don't think twice
'Cause there'll never be another like him
I know he really loves me and I think maybe mama was right

You got to dance with the one that brought you
Stay with the one that wants you
The one who's gonna love you when all of the others go home
Don't let the green grass fool ya
Don't let the moon get to ya
Dance with the one that brought you and you can't go wrong

You got to dance with the one that brought you and you can't go wrong
I love this song from my heart. So cute, so catchy. It's a shame It has never become a hit. I wish more people would know the song. It's short (2:24) but a longer version of this would break the magic.

Video Very simple, but it's nice (directed by Sean Penn)

And let's get into another category... the albums

Her best selling and second diamond album that made her a global star. Actually it was so hard to rank any of her albums but at the end I felt that her other albums are way more superior to this one. Contains such classics like You're Still The One or That Don't Impress Me Much. I also felt that other tracks like Love Gets Me Everytime or Whatever You Do! Dont! are a bit weaker than tracks on the other albums. That was the main reason I put it at "only" 4. There were 2 version of this album both had some changes. I would highlight only one here. If You Wanna Touch Her! Ask! is my least favorite on the International Version, but belongs to one of my favorites on the Original Version. The album also had an 12 singles ( because you know your fave will N-E-V-E-R (!) )

Any man of mine better be proud of me
Even when I'm ugly he still better love me
And I can be late for a date that's fine
But he better be on time

Any man of mine'll say it fits just right
When last year's dress is just a little too tight
And anything I do or say better be okay
When I have a bad hair day

And if I change my mind
A million times
I want to hear him say
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I like it that way

[Chorus]
Any man of mine better walk the line
Better show me a teasin' squeezin' pleasin' kinda time
I need a man who knows, how the story goes
He's gotta be a heartbeatin' fire breathin'
Breathtakin' earthquakin' kind
Any man of mine

Well any man of mine better disagree
When I say another woman's lookin' better than me
And when I cook him dinner and I burn it black
He better say, mm, I like it like that yeah

And if I change my mind
A million times
I want to hear him say
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I like it that way

[Chorus]

Let me hear you say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah I like it that way

[Chorus]

You gotta shimmy shake
Make the earth quake
Kick, turn, stomp, stomp, then you jump
Heel to toe, do si do
'Til your boots want to break
'Til your feet and your back ache
Keep it movin' 'til you just can't take anymore
Come on everybody on the floor
A-one two, a-three four
Hup two, hup
If you want to be a man of mine, that's right
This is what a woman wants
Wanna be a man of mine
So light and fun! One of her best uptempos ever. Theres an acapella version of it which is also amazing.

I find this album to be very, very underrated. Even for big Shania fans this album is kinda unknown. That could be answered by the fact that this is her lowest selling album (1xPlatinum in the US maybe it reached the level of an aluminium can in other countries). It has so many amazing songs on it starting with Dance With The One That Brought You of course. The only song I cant put anywhere is Got a Hold On Me, but it's grown on me a lot already. Crime of The Century made me fall in love with this album though at the end other tracks happened to be better but still <3 it.

I don't think you got what I was hinting at.

Dance With The One That Brought You: 8.5/10 - Very simple in it's structure but this song is fantastic! I love the lyrics and Shania's vocals sound great here.

Any Man of Mine: 9.5/10 - One of Shania's signature classics, this has always been a fave of mine. I'm glad to see it so high.

The only Shania album I've heard in full is Come On Over and that record is phenomenal.

Oh, thank you baby for
Loving me like you do
I didn't like dating,
And trying to find someone
I gave up waiting, For love to come along
There had to be someway,
I knew I'd find it someday

[Chorus]
Yeah, thank you baby!
For making someday come so soon
Yeah, thank you baby!
For loving me the way you do

So many numbers, So many guys to call
Is it any wonder, I got nowhere at all
Oh, well it had to be someway (it had to be
Someway) I knew I'd find it someday

[Chorus]

Thank you baby (Check it out)

Oh
Uh, uh, uh, yeah
There had to be someway,
I knew I'd find it someday

[Chorus]

(Thank you baby) Thank you baby!
(Thank you baby) For loving
Me the way, me the way you do
Baby someway, someday, somewhere
Yeah, yeah
Oh, thank you baby! For loving
Me like you do
Oh, thank you baby
Simply mindblowing! The violins slay my life. The lyrics are just perfect. A real gem. This was one of the instant favs from Up! to me.

1. Home Ain't where His Heart Is (Anymore)
2. Any Man of Mine
3. Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?
4. (If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here!
5. The Woman in Me (Needs the Man in You)
6. Is There Life After Love?
7. If It Don't Take Two
8. You Win My Love
9. Raining on Our Love
10. Leaving Is the Only Way Out
11. No One Needs to Know
12. God Bless the Child

The first Shania album I've ever heard in full. Actually it was right after the moment I discovered her. The album starts with an amazing ballad, Home Ain't Where His Heart Is (Anymore). I highly recommend this track. The 3 tracks come that were in my countdown too.(Any Man Of Mine, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?, (If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here!). The Woman In Me (Needs The Man In You) and Is There Life After Love? though missed the countdown they are amazing!. If It Don't Take Two is my least favorite from this album yet it's still good. The rest all appeared on the countdown. I only want to higlight Raining On Our Love an incredible ballad which seems to be very underrated.
