Why? It is happening in every other main chart, it should be happening here as well, IMO.Timmy94 wrote:That would be very bad if album tracks could chart...
I think that the change is great! I want to know which songs people like, singles and albu tracks! I really hope that labels will not exclude songs all the time.jszmiles wrote:Why? because if an album sells very well, you probalby have 10 songs of one artist filling the top 10jszmiles wrote:Why? It is happening in every other main chart, it should be happening here as well, IMO.Timmy94 wrote:That would be very bad if album tracks could chart...
This would never happen.pacadi wrote:because if an album sells very well, you probalby have 10 songs of one artist filling the top 10jszmiles wrote:Why? that's why I've asked if it is possible, in other words: if the album market is bigger than singles, it might be possible if the album has fantastic opening week and the price of single songs from album is reasonable... it had happened in UK some time ago, when in top 200 acts like Arctic Monkeys put all songs from the album as single downloads.AshDeluxe wrote:This would never happen.pacadi wrote:because if an album sells very well, you probalby have 10 songs of one artist filling the top 10jszmiles wrote:Why? We might see some album songs in the top 100 when the album is released, yes. But that'll be only the case with 4 or 5 albums a year and they'll never occupy the whole top 10.jszmiles wrote:that's why I've asked if it is possible, in other words: if the album market is bigger than singles, it might be possible if the album has fantastic opening week and the price of single songs from album is reasonable... it had happened in UK some time ago, when in top 200 acts like Arctic Monkeys put all songs from the album as single downloads.AshDeluxe wrote:This would never happen.pacadi wrote:because if an album sells very well, you probalby have 10 songs of one artist filling the top 10jszmiles wrote:Why? It seems like it has become this year's football hymn.Timmy94 wrote:But why is it so high now?

Now that's an interesting question!Timmy94 wrote:How come Girls Gone Wild isn't on the Singles Chart although it was physically released in the week represented on this week's chart?
Yup it's pretty much flopping. Right now it's at number 142 on Itunes.CZB wrote:Now that's an interesting question!Timmy94 wrote:How come Girls Gone Wild isn't on the Singles Chart although it was physically released in the week represented on this week's chart?
Unless its release date was pushed back a week from the Friday 4th May showing on Amazon Germany, could the only answer be that.....it didn't sell well enough?!![]()
Maybe someone who follows the downloads trends more closely can reveal whether that's a realistic (if surprising) possibility? It's only new at 62 in nearby Austria, so perhaps it really did flop in Germany.....
