I would prefer Madonna's if it was given as a gift, but I'd never buy collections that are so wrecklessly put together. Therefore: neither!

Love Mariah...She is really a great singer...
However compared to Madonna, she is nowhere near the performance of Madonna.

I love Madonna's career so much more than I used to, especially her 80's material and Evita era.

BUT, she doesn't have a single album that holds up against Mariah's four best records as far as I'm concerned. Mariah's discography is superior to Madonna's IMO.

And as for these collections, they're both unneeded. However, Mariah gets my vote.
