It woudl be excellent if it didn't have that annoying scrotum of a child in it.
Oh god I hate children in TV shows. Dunno if I'm going to watch it now

I need a new show to obsess over since everything's ending, & it's a long wait since True Blood :(

OMG someone who agrees about that vile kid!!!
As soon as I watched it I wanted him dead!. The show could have been interesting if it wasn't so focused on that smarmy little sh*t.

i cannot take that Desperate Housewives ends tonight. During the lifetime of this show, i lost 5 family members. God, I so love my favourite shows.

to supernatural: i think the show is still thrilling, so why ending it?

I'm jumping for happiness that

Greys
Private Practice
One Upon a Time
Fringe
Cougar Town and
Parenthood

got renewed. I also hope season 8 of weeds won't be the end of it either.

I'm shocked at CSI Miami being cancelled. It is the most watched US show on German television (neck on neck with House and CSI).

For goodness sake, why do all the best US shows always get cancelled? Unforgettable is fantastic and has got better and better. So disappointed!

From Inside Blip:

'Unforgettable' Becomes Season's Highest-Rated Casualty
CBS also parts ways with 'CSI: Miami' after a long run
by MICHAEL HINMAN, posted May-14-2012
Source: Entertainment Weekly

When Inside Blip made its predictions on what shows would live and what would die, we knew that one of the CSI series would be gone. We just thought it would be the lower-rated "CSI: New York."

We were wrong. And so were a lot of other people, too.

CBS instead dumped "CSI: Miami" after 10 seasons, and the show isn't even being given a chance to go out on its own terms (that's because not only has filming wrapped, but so have the airing of new episodes).

It joined a short list of new cancellations from CBS that include the high-rated "Unforgettable." And it's not just high-rated -- it's actually the highest-rated cancellation of the season.

"Unforgettable," which starred Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh, averaged a 7.3 rating/12 share, according to Fast National overnight ratings from The Nielsen Co. That made it the second-best new show through the end of April (behind only "Person of Interest"), and kept it right within television's top 12 overall. Its numbers were so strong that it would be the No. 1 program on NBC, No. 3 on ABC (behind "Dancing With the Stars" and "Modern Family"), and No. 2 on Fox (behind "American Idol").

But for CBS, "Unforgettable" was just average. It was ranked No. 8 on the network's schedule out of 25 shows, and actually matched the season average CBS was picking up this season so far.

The series also finished ahead of not just "CSI: Miami," but actually all the CSI series. The mothership show, "CSI," averaged a 7.2/12, just enough to keep it in CBS' top 10, while "Miami" was ranked No. 16 with a 6.5/11 and "CSI: New York" No. 19 with a 6.3/11.

All of the shows mentioned were actually in television's top 25. Interestingly enough, the top 25 is losing three shows this year -- all on CBS. They include not only "Unforgettable" and "CSI: Miami," but also the Rob Schneider comedy appropriately titled "Rob." That show averaged a 6.7/10, good for No. 19 overall.

If the top 25 holds their places by the end of the season, it would top last year's top 25 with the most cancellations. Last year, networks kept all the shows that finished there, including "CSI: Miami" (No. 21). CBS, however, did create the highest-rated cancellation of last season, as well. It was the William Shatner comedy ""$#*! My Dad Says," which finished No. 26 overall with a 6.3/10.

For those keeping score, when Inside Blip made its predictions of CBS' schedule early last month, it had "Unforgettable" and "Rob" as "Safe Bets," meaning we felt they had a very strong chance to return.

We also had "CSI: Miami" as "Still Bouncing," meaning it was on the bubble, but had a better chance than not of renewal, while "CSI: New York" was listed "About To Pop." So yep, on those four choices, we went 0-for-4.
 I wish another network would pick it up!

From Deadline:

TNT & Lifetime Looking At Cancelled CBS Drama Series ‘Unforgettable’: Will It Live On?
By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Thursday May 17, 2012 @ 6:53pm PDT

EXCLUSIVE: The cancellation of CBS’ freshman drama Unforgettable was one of the closest calls this upfront season. Now the procedural starring Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh is exploring a move to cable. I’ve learned that producers Sony Pictures TV and CBS TV Studios have had preliminary conversations with TNT and Lifetime about potentially picking up the series. Unforgettable, which centers on Carrie Wells (Montgomery), a New York detective with the ability to visually remember everything, would make sense for both TNT and Lifetime. TNT has had a lot of success with female-lead cop procedurals with The Closer and Rizzoli & Isles. Lifetime has tried hard to launch one with two recent series, The Protector and Against The Wall, both of which were cancelled after one season. Turner has been the most open to rescuing broadcast series with NBC’s Southland going to TNT and most recently Cougar Town moving to TBS.

When asked what went wrong for Unforgettable to warrant the cancellation after a relatively solid first-season run, CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler said the question is not “what went wrong with Unforgettable but what went right with the new pilots.” Unforgettable averaged 12 million viewers and a 2.5 among adults 18-49.

The bargaining phase of the Kubler-Ross stages of grief is on full display in this thread. The most likely scenario, as always, is cancellation = show done for good.

"Family Guy" is a prominent exception to this rule, as that show should never have been cancelled in the first place.

In the past few years, the same possibility of moving to cable was opened for "The Event" and "FlashForward". Neither came to pass.

I'd be surprised if any network picks up any of the cancelled shows. "Cougar Town" to TBS was announced very early. However, as a Top 25 show, maybe "Unforgettable" will prove me wrong. "The Secret Circle" is dead-- it barely registered on a network that has less people watching than many cable channels.

with canning Dan Harmon, I think NBC is seriously trying to kill Community.

It's never been a ratings juggernaut, but still, it has a huge following. I think it's bs they canned Harmon because of the feud with Chevy Chase. Chase is notoriously difficult to work with and has been since his days on SNL so I can't believe NBC would side with him. I would've fired Chevy, he is NOT the star of the show (Joel McHale) is and plus "Chevy Chase" doesn't quite carry the star value it did in 1985. So I think he should've been canned instead if it had to come to an either/or situation with NBC.

I am so glad they renewed Rules Of Engagement. It's my favourite multi-camera sitcom since Friends.

It's managed to always get consistent ratings despite being shunted around by CBS.

From Deadline:

Unforgettable Returns To CBS With 13-Episode Order For Summer 2013
By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Wednesday June 20, 2012 @ 10:15am PDT

EXCLUSIVE: It looks like procedural drama Unforgettable will indeed not go forgotten. I’ve learned that CBS, which cancelled the series starring Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh in May after one season, is in discussions to bring it back with a 13-episode order targeted for next summer. The network declined comment.

Following the cancellation by CBS, Sony Pictures TV, which co-produces Unforgettable with CBS TV Studios, began actively shopping the series to other networks, including TNT and Lifetime. Unforgettable centers on Carrie Wells (Montgomery), a New York detective with the ability to visually remember everything, who works for a team led by her ex-partner and boyfriend, Lt. Al Burns (Walsh). Unforgettable would mark the highest-profile summer original scripted series to air on CBS in a long time. The network recently ran another crime procedural, Canadian import Flashpoint, in the off-season.

The axing of Unforgettable was surprising and one of the closest calls this upfront season. When asked at the day of CBS’ upfront presentation what went wrong for the show to warrant the cancellation after a relatively solid first-season run, CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler said the question is not “what went wrong with Unforgettable but what went right with the new pilots.” In its first season, Unforgettable averaged 12.1 million viewers and a 2.5/7 among adults 18-49 and was the most-watched series on any network to get the hook.
AND from The Hollywood Reporter:

'Unforgettable': CBS May Revive Poppy Montgomery Drama
The network is in talks to bring back the series about a New York detective with a truncated season for summer 2013.
11:04 AM PDT 6/20/2012 by Lesley Goldberg

Unforgettable may join the rare category of TV series that have been brought back from the dead.

Broadcast TV's Returning Shows for 2012-13 Season
CBS is in talks to revive the Poppy Montgomery drama with a truncated 13-episode order for summer 2013, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The series about a female detective (Montgomery) who remembers everything except the day her sister was murdered was canceled in May to clear space on the network's schedule for the four drama pilots the network ordered to series.

From Ed Redlich, Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman, the drama had been a steady performer at 10 p.m. Tuesdays, averaging 12.1 million viewers and a 2.5 rating in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic.

The series was one of two at the time (including CBS' A Gifted Man) that hailed from EPs Beverly and Timberman to end their run in May. However, the duo's Sherlock Holmes drama Elementary was one of the network's hourlong efforts to land a series order.

Unforgettable, which co-stars Dylan Walsh (Nip/Tuck), would join Fox's Christian Slater workplace comedy Breaking In, which the network brought back from the dead after canceling it in May 2011. Breaking In was canceled (for a third time) in May after it failed to attract viewers in its prime post-New Girl slot on Tuesdays, drawing around 3 million viewers.

Breaking In hailed from Sony Pictures Television, who with CBS Television Studios, produced Unforgettable.
