The results of this are just silly, I'm out.

Shame you're dropping out - though I do agree there's been some big surprises already!

So - in this round, we got somewhat less consensus.

36 songs got 1 vote and are safe.
19 songs got 2 votes and we lose 2 of them
2 songs got 3 votes and are out.

First out for today it's the debut single from Cover Drive. I presumed at the time they'd be spectacular one hit wonders, but somehow or other, with a top 20 album and a chart topping single to their name, 2012 has been very successful for them!



Second up, it's the second in a row to come from my own votes - "Badman Riddim (Jump)" by Vato Gonzalez.



Third out, it's the first of our Rihanna songs to fall - and one of the most heavily radio edited songs of the year. Seriously, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me" are not fit for daytime airing! Farewell to Rihanna's "S&M"!

Finally, I wasn't really sure how the small handful of "old songs" in this survivor would do, and the first one falls quite early on. This year has seen a staggering number of music icons dying. In 2011, there was just the one that towered over all the others. As "Back To Black" leaves this survivor, we say farewell, in more ways than one, to Amy Winehouse

So - four more songs go, and another big shocker amongst them if you ask me... and also another huge hit!

First up, with help from DJ Afrojack, R&B singer Ne-Yo and someone called Nayer that has had no other success, it's farewell to Pitbull and the massive hit "Give Me Everything".



So, there's three girl groups in this list. Everyone remembers X Factor winners Little Mix. Everyone remembers the Saturdays. However, who remembers Parade? They did manage to go top 10 with their debut hit "Louder", but alas second single "Perfume" was so dire it barely went top 40!



Shock of the round really has to go to two people really disliking the ultimate gay anthem of 2011! It's a shock early farewell to Lady Gaga and her most iconic 2011 song - "Born This Way".

Finally, it's farewell to an absolutely gorgeous cover of a 00s rock classic. Farewell to Charlene Soraia and her rendition of "Wherever You Will Go".

Wow! That's definitely polarizing! Anyway, there are still loads of great songs left so I'll still follow this.

It's very clear that as soon as someone pointed out that T-Pain was still in this list, people realised the errors of their ways thus far. Therefore the Lily Allen sampling "5 O'Clock" is out by a mile in 90th place!



Talking of songs going bemusingly far in this survivor, I thought that Dappy from N-Dubz was a safe bet for an early exit. Therefore 89th place is remarkably good for him! He's still somehow got one more entry to come!

Having already lost his moves, it's time to lose our second entry for Sir Mick - this time his swagger! Fourth placed X-Factor contestant Cher Lloyd might have started her career with a big No. 1 hit, but it was rather polarising on here.



Finally for today, it's a bit of a surprise exit for Aloe Blacc and his soundtrack to the global recession - "I Need A Dollar". Three people decided it was time for this song to go, so out it goes!

First out, it's the song that gave us the incredibly deep and meaningful lyric "You like to drink? So do we!" Yes, it's goodbye to Chris Brown and "Yeah 3x" with 5 votes. Just what is the other song that gets 5 votes though?

Guess what - it's two crap Chris Brown songs out in a row, and both by miles! Farewell also with 5 votes this round to Beautiful People, the track he did with Benny Benassi! Both were huge sellers, but both have left rather early in this survivor.



Third out today, it's one that's been shaky for some time now - which is a shame because I think it's a fantastic song myself! Farewell to the massive debut single by X-Factor boyband One Direction - "What Makes You Beautiful".



Finally, it's farewell to the only entry in this list for hip hop megastars Black Eyed Peas. 2011 was a relatively quiet year for them, but they did get a big hit with "Just Can't Get Enough".

First out, it's time to lose another of the biggest hits of the year. Surprisingly, there's three people on this site who really want to see the back of "Price Tag" by Jessie J. I have to say I never expected this one out quite so soon!

Aside from Mark Morrison himself, few people have had chart success with "Return Of The Mack" - and there's probably good reason for that. It became the second single for Mann and flopped so badly that he'll probably only ever be remembered for the massive hit "Buzzin'".



With a bit of help from David Guetta, our next star to fall is US rap legend Snoop Dogg. The Snoopy D O double Gizzle, as he sometimes calls himself, onnly really had the one hit last year, and it crashes out relatively early in this survivor. Farewell to "Sweat".



Finally, one of my favourites on the entire list falls. Somehow, there's two of our voters who can't stand the fantastic "The A Team" by Ed Sheeran! No, I can't work out what's so wrong with it - all I can say is meh!

"The A Team" is out...?!

I was one of the few who voted out Price Tag from the beginning. I used to love that song but it was sooo overplayed. You basically heard to song everywhere anytime for months. I just can't stand the song anymore...

First out, it's an impressively long run in this list for an urban song that crashed and burned very fast. Who remembers "Like U Like" by Aggro Santos and Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh?



Aggro Santos's last hit was with another Kimberly - the one from Pussycat Dolls, and next up, it's another member of Pussycat Dolls - Nicole Scherzinger. "Don't Hold Your Breath" leaves us with 11 votes to date.



Third out, it's farewell to US urban newcomer Dev and her big hit "Bass Down Low".



Finally, and just a few places higher than the song about buzzing, we have another rather bee-like song - Wiz Khalifa and his big hit "Black and Yellow". Rather like Mann, he's ended up a one hit wonder. Maybe they should team up for a cover of Elvis's "I Got Stung"!
