Snoozeworthy stan spewage....danbarj wrote:Dude, at this point - I think it's safe to just not call yourself a fan, stan or casual listener. If you expect any pop star to realistically "innovate" to your STANDARDS on every song you will REMAIN disappointed.Bobs wrote:The AI performance was OK - the boost is slow tho. Strange to compare this w/ Cheers which charged all the way to #2 relatively quickly -- and that was basically a 7th single following two under performers.
It's safe to assume that audiences are not connecting with song like her other big hits, but the TOP 10 Itunes exposure should be enough to get her one more top 10 before she should mercifully call this era wrap.
I'm in the group of people that this song has no impact on. It falls flat after she raised the bar SO high with Rated R, Loud, and WFL, every single following (except Drake's Take Care.) It feels like a backward step.
Innovation please! No more Max Martin crap.
I am not a fan of the rush era, but it's here and has been for 7 months. At this point, get with it or get lost!!!
WHYB will go top 10. WW album sales are increasing, US sales are stable and she STILL should NOT end the era as we have the 2 most profitable quarters ahead of us (3rd and 4th - and she doesn't intend to release a new album) so she should carry out atleast 2 more singles, just for the hell of it, or a re-release then end the era.
Why? Because Rihanna always gets a result. Airplay is a staple for her. Sales are always good. Why end because YOU don't like the era, when there's more than enough potential for 2 more singles.
You have to view this from the casual buyer and label's POV. Meaning, videos = singles to most non-ukmixers/ATRLers and so on. 3 videos in (WFL, YD1, WHYB), most consider TTT a radio single and BC was not on the album in full. So, 2 more singles with proper release (which includes a video) would equal 5 singles to most listeners, and 6 in total with TTT (BC, again, was not an official, album-supported, label solicited single).
6 singles isn't too much for the most consistent radio Queen, digital artist and album seller of the last 7 years! Not at all!
This is her best single since .... mmm... "Don't Stop the Music" IMO! It's just amazing!truthless wrote:Well well guys...

Top 5 already!! Maybe the AI effect wasn't an instant effect but a "keeper" one? Good to see it so high. Now that airplay is increasing good, it could reach Top 5 on Hot 100 in a couple of weeks!ririlurker wrote:#5
Seriously, WHYB is a hit. It just needs some time to get started! Rihanna can't debut in the top 10 all the time. And the songs that are in the top 10 on iTunes have HUGE sales!Timmy94 wrote:Like Rihanna wouldn't crack the top 10 (except some few You Da One-like write offs) .
To me, this was nothing but expected .
Whatever Dumbass! The Bottom Line IS that I already said it was a good performance. I wasn't dissing her. Just stating my opinion that its my least favourite performance of this song yet. GTFO and go back to school.Giamma wrote:You aren't very smart are you? She goes for that note in the first chorus but then leave it out in the second chorus because she has to do the choreo right after. She can't do both! You are watching a singer that keeps it REAL! No lipsync nor pre-recorded vocals! No trix no games! So obviously she has to do some adjusts live.Garf69 wrote:Don't get me wrong it was still a great performance.. And I'm not speaking about the Chorus. I'm talking about "searching for you baBYYYYYYY" and "Somewhere in the ClouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuDS!!". That's one of the highlights of the song and she left them out apart from at the start...ririlurker wrote:whaaattt? the chorus can't be sang live, it's kinf of impossible... she hit the bridge very well. and she danced a lot.Garf69 wrote:I think it was her worst performance of WHYB yet.. Still decent though.. She missed all the high notes throughout itririlurker wrote:wow that was amazing live singing and huge budget set You go RiRi
Bottom line is she always sings live and don't try to fool anyone. Not pre-recorded notes like some big vocalists do... What you see is what you get! Keep it real Riri!
