Week 34/17 (4/29/2012)

Four debuts, three increases, twelve decreases and one non-mover - that's this week's chart overview in brief.

As for new entries: at 20th spot appears David Guetta's 2007 single 'Love Is Gone' featuring Chris Willis, at 15th position enters chart Calvin Harris with 'Feel So Close', at 12th spot arrives Alexandra, a Polish singer with 'Mowisz Mi, ze Przepraszasz' (Telling me, that you're sorry) and, the highest new entry this week has Carly Rae Jepsen - her 'Call Me Maybe' jumps from 6th place on Bubbling Under Chart to 6th spot on main chart.

At the bottom of the top 5 there's We Are Young by Fun. featuring Janelle Monáe. The song slips 4-5 in its seventh week on chart. However, it's still increasing in points, so new peak isn't out of the question (the highest position so far for Fun. has been #4, where their song stayed for 4 consecutive weeks).
At 4th spot with Greatest Gainer honors jumps Emeli Sandé with 'Next to Me. A song by Scottish singer/songwriter is up 10 spots; it's its second week on chart.
Down to 3rd position is 'Don't Speak by No Doubt. It's actually only the second song released before the 2000 to reach a top 2 peak (along with 'One Moment in Time' by Whitney Houson which also peaked at 2nd spot in March this year).
6-2 jumps Aura Dione featuring Rock Mafia with 'Friends. It's been third consecutive increase for this song (19-12-6-2) since it entered chart four weeks ago.
And, the only one non-mover this week is the previous week's number-one hit, namely Ot's My Life' by No Doubt. It's the first song to spent more than one week atop the chart since Alyssa Reid's 'Alone Again - the song did it at the beggining of March this year.

Week 35/18 (5/6/2012)

Nothing new at all on this weeks chart - only one re-entry replaces one drop-out, namely Oceana's 'Endless Summer', an EURO 2012 official anthem is back on chart after a week absence at 17th spot and throws out of chart Madonna's 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina' (Miami Mix), which has spent so far 4 weeks on chart and peaked at 6th spot.

The 'Longest Runner' title still holds David Guetta with 'Titanium featuring Sia - the song has spent 22 weeks on chart, which makes it the longest running in the chart history (tie with Rihanna's 'We Found Love featuring Calvin Harris - also 22 weeks in top 20).

List of longest runners of 2012.

Top 5 opens this week No Doubt with 'Don't Speak' - it's the song's fourth week on chart.
15-4 jumps Calvin Harris's 2011 single 'Feel So Close', which entered chart last week. It's second top 5 hit for Harris, along with previously said 'We Found Love.
Up to 3rd position is Carly Rae Jepsen with 'Call Me Maybe. The song rises from 6th spot in its 2nd week on chart.
At 2nd position stays Aura Dione with 'Friends' featuring Rock Mafia. The song remains at its peak position for second week in a row, but it was very close to hitting the top spot. However, No Doubt win this week's competiton and celebrate third consecutive week atop with It's My Life

Thanks again for all comments sorry for being late this week ;)

Week 36/19 (5/13/2012)

Five new songs appear this week on chart. Starting from the bottom, at 20th spot debuts Alexandra Stan featuring Carlprit with '1.000.000', at 19th position enters chart Jessie J featuring David Guetta with 'LaserLight', at 14th spot jumps into the top 20 Adele with her 5th single from the '21' album - 'Turning Tables', at 13th position debuts Cher Lloyd with 'Want U Back' and at 7th spot, the highest new entry this week has Inna - it's 'WOW' - 5th single from 'I Am the Club Rocker' album.

This week, the record for most weeks on chart ever has been just passed as 'Titanium' - a song by David Guetta featuring Sia collects 23rd week in the top 20. However, the record for most consecutive weeks on chart still holds Rihanna with 'We Found Love' featuring Calvin Harris - the song was appearing constantly in top 20 for 21 weeks, beginning on October 2nd, 2011 and ending on February 19th, 2012. The single had also re-entered chart on March 11, 2012 and then collected 22nd and final week on chart (so far).

Top 5 is very stable this week. There's only switch between 4th and 5th spot: Calvin Harris falls to 5th position with 'Feel so Close' and No Doubt jumps to 4th spot with 'Don't Speak'. At 3rd position stays 'Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen, 2nd this week is Aura Dione featuring Rock Mafia with Friends (third week at 2nd spot) and at 1st position remains for 4th week in a row 'It's My Life' by No Doubt.

Thanks for all comments sorry again! I've got so many things to do now but next week's chart is going to be updated (finally) right on time. If any chart is late, try to find it here. Sometimes I post new top 20 there first.

Week 37/20 (5/20/2012)

Three drop-outs are being replaced by three brand new songs this week. Starting from the bottom, at 19th spot debuts Jessica Jean with 'Black Box', at 17th position enters chart Pitbull with his new single from Men in Black 3 Original Soundtrack - 'Back in Time' and at 15th spot appears Kelly Clarkson's 2005 smash hit 'Since U Been Gone'. The last one is the second single from 'Breakaway' album (released in 2004) that has been charted in top 20.

One new song reaches top 5 peak this week, as Oceana's 'Endless Summer' jumps 6-4 in its fourth week on chart.
Down to 5th spot is previous week's number one, namely 'It's My Life' by No Doubt. The song ends its run at the top spot with four consecutive weeks, which makes it second longest runner at number one of all time.
Up to 3rd spot is another No Doubt's smash - 'Don't Speak'. The song has already spent five weeks in the top 5.
3-2 rises Carly Rae Jepsen with 'Call Me Maybe'. The song has been gaining points since it entered the chart on April 29, but it still hasn't got enough points to hit number one. And the number one this week, finally after spending three consecutive weeks at number 2, is Aura Dione featuring Rock Mafia with 'Friends'! It's the song's 7th week on chart.
Is Aura able to stay at number one for next week? Carly's getting stronger and stronger every day and it looks like it's the strongest contender for the top spot of the chart next week. But will she manage to do it? Or maybe there's somebody else who wants to be a #1-hit? Results on Sunday evening!
