RITD has sold 2.5 million copies in South Korea? I didn't realise singles sold so much over there. Or is Adele just an anomaly over there like she is pretty much everywhere else?

I'd say singles sell extremely well over there in general. I remember when Rihanna's Take A Bow sold over 1 mio. copies two years after its release there and Kesha's Tik Tok also was a million seller there...

So selling 1 mio. copies in South Korea is like selling 1 mio. copies in the USA, despite the country only having an eighth of the US' population.

Downloads are extremely cheap, that's why the market is so big there.

70th consecutive week in the top 10. Only 3 more weeks in the top 10 to beat Amy/Gaga and have the longest-running top 10 album by a female.

Oh and if Reggie Yates says one more time that people should be ashamed to still be buying this album I think the BBC should sack him...
Counting down the days until 21 outsells Morning Glory in the UK.

Dropped to #29 on mine. Still, it can't defy gravity forever. Fortunately lots of the stuff above it don't count for the purposes of chart positions, and given how poor album sales have been lately, we're probably talking about very small numbers between them anyway.

I can't see anything on the horizon that would give it a UK boost either - which makes the new certification all the more intriguing :-? :)

It's going to drop without any promo, the only thing I can think of for the 16xP is a re-release.

#9 on Amazon UK.

21 could fall out of the top 5 for the first time since the post-Christmas week next week in the UK: With new albums of Rumer, Paloma Faith, Scissor Sisters, Sigur Ros, Ultravox (all artist's previous albums reached at least Gold and a top-ten-position) and the EP of Gary Barlow (can it chart on the Albums Chart?), it could fall several positions even with a potential sales increase.

By the way: 21 was just ~ 400 copies far from reaching No. 1 in the UK this week.
