:D :D Thanks for throwing that album my way. Such a shame it flopped and the re-master has not made a dent on the chart to my knowledge. :x

Hmmm, that's an interesting question. Well it's almost a year old but the obvious one would be 4. But in terms of new current albums I've listened to Kelly Clarkson's one with Stronger and Dark Side and Carrie Underwoods new one. I like Kelly's voice and I really like Carries song Good Girl so I listened to her album to see if she had any other songs I particularly liked, although I think Good Girl is my favorite from it. :D

Oh OK thanks, I'll try and listen to those, I've spun "4" recently, I like a few tracks on there although I've never been able to get into Beyonce properly.

after first listen to Hearts and Bones I have to say that I'm impressed by the albums consistent sound. I also fell in love with one song after first listen already, it is Think Too Much (b). I have to listen to it again because allergies, hearts and bones and Rene & Georgette kind of stayed in my head as well.

I also checked the album's chart performance and I have to say.. i have no clue why it flopped in the US.

next album, i will check out by him, will be Graceland.

This made me really happy!! Wooooo! 8-) Yes it should not have flopped it's fab! :( Yes try whatever you want next, I love Graceland but I like a few others from him more - ones like "Surprise" and his latest one "So Beautiful or So What" are even better imo. :D

I like Beyonce here and there, but my main problem with her is the same thing I have with Rihanna, Gwen and Justin Timberlake amongst others... I really love the songs when they're fresh but a few years later can't stomach hearing them again. For instance I loved Irreplaceable when it came out but now I can't bare to hear it. I generally gravitate more to artists that I still find myself still loving the songs years later.

Okay cool. I like Kelly's album a lot, Dark Side is fab although it took me a couple of listens to get into it. Carrie's is alright as well, but I was a bit disappointed because for me there wasn't a song as good as Good Girl which I'd already heard, but that's my taste really.
Glad to know you had a listen to 4. Everyone's different in terms of music, but I'm happy to know that you liked a few tracks. Which ones in particular? :D

There was some bad press with Paul in 1983 or so when he had a huge public falling out with Art after their reunion tour and Paul erased Art's vocals from a few tracks, as H&B was intended to be Simon And Garfunkel's reunion album. Plus, Paul's solo career had been in a downturn for a few years as One Trick Pony failed to match his earlier success too, but this album lacked a hit single like "Late In The Evening".

I think Graceland is a tad overrated (as some act like it's the only good thing he did post-Art) but it is still a very worthwhile album.

Thanks for that I'll try and let you know what I think of them. The song which stood out on first listen was "Love On Top" really catchy and fun. :D I'll give it some more listens.

Yes John this is my issue I think but I've actually never liked Beyonce much tbh, I think her voice is part of the reason. :-?

Shame about the damn press! :x Yes I agree "Graceland" is overrated and is not his best album like many seem to think IMO, although it is still really good. :D

Very relaxing indeed. I remember listening to this album when sorting my things, or when I was about to sleep.

Because of you I paid attention to Baduizm's production, with good headphones, and every instrument takes me to another world. Fantastic musical work.

Regarding Tenacious D, I know a feel good songs and I sympathize a lot with Jack Black, as an actor and as a musician.

Simon is AMAZING. I gotta check the album you mentioned.

And what I've heard from the new CD of Sinead is really good. Deep and catchy at the same time.

Sinead's album is great. Easily her best since the 90s.

Of course Surprise is great too, nice to see Rhythm Of The Saints making an appearance too

Need to check Caravan out, I've seen you post that cover many times and it's really intriguing.

Erykah's album is cool. Not the biggest fan of neo-soul but I love On And On
