EGO: Brilliant, one of The Sats' best songs. A real thumper.
BAD ROMANCE: my favourite GaGa song (though that's not saying much given my dislike for her)
DEFYING GRAVITY: I loved this at first but, in comaprison to the original Chenoweth/Menzel version it's pretty poor. Have yu heard the original?
NEED YOU NOW: fab
DANCE IN THE DARK: good for GaGa
3 WORDS: nice little song
WONDERWALL: all-time classic
TRY SLEEPING WITH A BROKEN HEART: just love it!

Also, couldn't have asked for a better chart topper (so glad it wasn't Taylor Swift!!!)

Some fantastic chart toppers there in 2009 too. My favourite would have to be "Ego" closely followed by the two Gaga songs, both amazing.

Actually on second thoughts "Wonderwall" is my favourite... a timeless classic!

Alicia Keys & Cheryl Cole songs are also great too.

many thanks for doing a thorough commentary! glad to see you like almost everything in this first bunch. I actually haven't heard the Chenoweth/Menzel original, but I did see Wicked when I was in London in 2009, so I've heard whoever was performing those parts there.

BAD ROMANCE - Lady Gaga (1 Week) - Another brilliant song, my favorite by Gaga and one of my all-time favorite songs! <3

DANCE IN THE DARK - Lady Gaga (1 Week) - Far from Gaga's best, but still an awesome song which deserved a full release!

Wonderwall: 6/10 - I figured this would end up being my least fave of the four but it isn't too shabby. Oasis is not really my kind of act but it's great for the genre of music, I guess.

wow, glad to see so much love for those songs! I didn't realize that many of them are among your absolute favorites from those acts! I totally agree about "Dance In The Dark" getting a proper single release too.

I never realized that you were such a big fan of Lady Antebellum! My fave from them is "I Run To You" though the overplayed and overexposed "Need You Now" is fabulous as well.
