127,000 copies were sold last week, the same result as the previous week and the lowest weekly sales since its release 16 month ago. But that was enough to catapult Adele's '21' back to the summit
again. The album reigns now for the 41st nonconsecutive week and reaches 22 million sales in total. The year-to-date sales of '21' are now at 6,71 million ... four times more than the nearest competitor, Lana Del Rey's 'Born To Die', sold so far (1,65 million). Last week's no.1 album, John Mayer's 'Born And Raised', slides at no.2 after a 61% sales decline to 111,000 copies. One Direction's 'Up All Night' climbs three slots to no.3, driven by a 24% sales boost to 88,000 copies. By the way, the album is now at no.3 on the year-to-date list with total sales of 1,61 million. This week's highest debut comes from South Korean actor, singer and model Jang Keun Suk. His second Japanese release, 'Just Crazy', bows at no.4 globally with 88,000 copies. 'Just Crazy' leads 12 new-entries on the current tally. Second highest is 'Valtari', the sixth album release of the fantastic Islandic band Sigur Rós, which comes in at no.5 with 67,000 sales. Singer-songwriter and pianist Regina Spektor, born in Russia, starts at no.6 with her third effort 'What We Saw From The Cheap Seats' and 61,000 sales. Grammy-nominated jazz-singer Melody Gardot follows close behind with 'The Absence' and sold 60,000 units. Outside the top 10 debuting Hideaki Tokunaga's 'Vocalist Vintage' at no.12 with 41,000 sales, Gary Barlo & The Commonwealth Band's 'Sing' at no.13 with 40,000 sales, Yannick Noah's 'Hommage' at no.15 with 39,000 sales, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros' 'Here' at no.17 with 38,000 sales, Scissor Sisters' 'Magic Hour' at no.19 with 36,000 sales, Paloma Faith's 'Fall To Grace' at no.21 with 35,000 sales, Yusuke's 'Ano...Omatsuridesukedo' at no.31 with 26,000 sales and finally Rumer's 'Boys Don't Cry' at no.37 with 24,000 sales.
