In the MW report on Friday, any of the top 4 albums could have made #1 ~ that says that sakes would be low.

I just hoped that Adele and all those albums that were the competition increased in some way and that the No.-1-album would end with a modest 20k...
I mean they didn't leave a word that sales could end that low... The last low we knew was The Leveller's Zeitgeist with 13,885 in 1995. Hopefully this is not a new all-time-low!

Don't like that drop? There were five new entries above it and it only reached #1 with sales of a measly 13k last week.

To be honest I'd be worried for the state of the industry if she hadn't dropped all 5 possible places

Why would you be worried?
Those 5 new entries could've also been 5 weak entries, which could've debuted with let's say 5-10k...
Actually the week when Emeli Sandé reached No. 1, there have been a total of 8 new albums in the top 20 and still she could reach No. 1 with 13k.

Hopefully Our Version Of Events increased despite the huge drop. I'm actually interested to know which was the biggest drop from No. 1 for an album that increased in sales .
