How many years has she been in the industry though? like 8.

Even more crazy when you think the majority of those sales will have come from the last 5 years as well, look at that compared to everyone in the list who have had careers that have spanned across decades! Rihanna is the singles queen of the 2000s here in the UK!

Again, you are right Aaliyahman. But now I am left wondering why the whole top 12 aren't artists from the 2000s onwards because surely it's not just Rihanna who has 99p singles at a click away?

You shouldn't try so hard Aaliyahman to downplay success! when there is a demand for her to release singles she will. Keri Hilson can release 10 singles from every album but she will be nowhere near this list because there's no demand so saying she's had "like 40" singles is not making this achievement look any less impressive, if anything it's more impressive that she's been able to release so many in 7 years and there's been a demand for them!

I see what you are saying. Keri Hilson isn't a superstar releasing single after single year in year out though. Keri Hilson peaked with Timbaland and Knock you Down, that's not slating her. Case in point, Katy Perry, she hit gold and kept on farting singles out.

Rihanna's succces is phenomenal, it just irks me seeing her next to older artists who didn't have the internet as an easy access point to sell their singles.

The definition of pressT!

Her featurings are not even counted! She has released less singles in the UK than in US (songs like Rockstar 101, Man Down, Cake etc never got a release in the UK). 7 years and still ON DEMAND! From Umbrella to We Found Love, two of the biggest singles ever! And right now two sigles insides top 10 AGAIN and effortlessly.

Now let me shut my mouth.... Lord knows I'd love to drag the hell out someoneas it would be so easy but this is not ATRL... And besides Rihanna's continuous success is the best response EVER anyway.

It's not atrl but you're still using your hood terms.
You couldn't drag a flea so don't make empty threats. I was having a conversation with UKmusiclova not about her contemporary artists but those 'legendary' ones whose records are getting thrown aside i.e. Katy Perry and MJ and now Rihanna on this list (are you sure her features don't contribute towards this!?!?)

Yes, her overall record sales (counting features & album sales) will pass the 20 Million mark in the next few weeks there.

Music has been her life since she was 16, she'd need quite some willpower and even more than that endurance to find her way back to a completely 'normal' life.
And she may be stubborn, but she seldom really pulls through what she plans to.
Oh, and she never decides for only one thing, she always wants all at once.

Rihanna Cancels Her Appearance on Graham Norton

According to other tabloids, she's cancelled her whole UK trip (including those music festivals) due to health fears. I hope this is all media BS and she's really just taking some time off to be with her grandma.

EDIT: changed original post after doing some research.

It wouldn't make a difference to me if she became the biggest selling ever. It would not change the fact she's a vulgar individual, with no class, who has no true talent.
I see madonna in the same way and she IS a big star.
Achievements don't mean anything of u can't conduct yourself sensibly.
