I had never thought about what you said regarding "2 AM" and "Baby" before, and although I was a bit insulted by the comparison at first, I can hear what you're saying. Glee's "Teenage Dream" cover (and that scene from the show) DEFINITELY make my heart melt too <3 and speaking of Glee, it is a bit funny to see how dramatically things have changed over the past couple years for me.

in 2009 - Glee had 1 No. 1 hit
in 2010 - Glee had 6 (the most of any act)
in 2011 - Glee had 2
in 2012 - Glee has had 0

it's not even that I suddenly started hating Glee, I tried cutting out all TV when I started my grad program in September. since then, I've started watching a couple other shows again here-and-there, but I just never bothered getting back into Glee. it was more of an event when I watched it every week with my roommates in undergrad.

any rate, I really loved pretty much ALL the singles from Lady A's first two albums, so then I decided to actually pick up their third album...and I was pretty disappointed :lol:

it has a few good songs, but nothing on par with the gems they released earlier.

2 AM: 8.5/10 - On first listen, this was pretty catchy. The chorus reminds me of JB's "Baby". :lol:

Blind: 9.5/10 - I remember this! It's pretty darn fantastic! Very well produced, great lyrics. This reminds me why I like Ke$ha so much.

Cannibal: 9/10 - I guess some of the lyrics are a bit morbid but it's sung over a catchy beat and autotuned vocals, so it can be easily ignored. I remember hearing this before.

Heartstrings: 7.5/10 - I love the simplicity of this track. Sure Kylie's done better, but it's definitely a gorgeous track.

Heaven: 4/10 - Borderline boring. Way off from the marvelous "3 Words".

Lookin' For A Good Time: 8.5/10 - I like Country music in general and I usually enjoy Lady Antebellum's music so this was expectedly good.

Merry Christmas Darling: 6/10 - I love the Glee Cast but I tend to rate Christmas songs toughly because of Mariah's impeccable and infallible "All I Want For Christmas Is You".

On A Mission: 4.5/10 - Gabriella sings so...urgently like she's on a mission to get the song over with as quickly as possible. Though it's uptempo Pop, which I normally fall for, I'm not too fond of this.

Our Kind of Love: 5.5/10 - Pretty sub-par by Lady Antebellum's standards but not terrible.

Turn It Up: 7/10 - I quite liked this one and considering that I've never been a fan of Pixie Lott's music (well, the one or two songs I've heard), I'm pleasantly surprised!

Vanilla Twilight: 4/10 - I didn't really expect to like this as I wasn't overly fond of "Fireflies" so it's not a huge loss.

United State of Pop 2009: 8/10 - I actually didn't expect to like this so much! Pretty solid mash-up!

Until You Were Gone: 6/10 - Hmm...I can definitely relate to this one but it was pretty average for me.

when it comes to Nicki and Katy, I can agree...but I actually think that "Payphone" is the best thing that M5 have released in quite a while! I'd say it's my favorite single from them since "Won't Go Home Without You".

I Feel Pretty/Unpretty: 6.5/10 - Being the Gleek that I am, it turns out that I have heard this song after all. I just forgot what it was called. This has never been a standout cover from the Glee Cast so I'm quite surprised that it ever did make it to #1 on your chart. It is cute though and I can definitely see it's appeal. Maybe when I feel like a hot mess, I'll get into this more.

Lucky Day: 6.5/10 - Nicola's voice sounds a tad annoying on this but it's still a pretty decent track overall.

Now or Never: 6/10 - Hmm...I wasn't really a fan of this either. It just had no real hook, nothing to really blow me away. It's a very 'safe' track.

Pretending: 7/10 - Eh, not bad but the Glee Cast have done much better covers.

United State of Pop 2010: 5/10 - Definitely a step down from the 2009 mix. The "Rude Boy" cuts seemed pretty random but it wasn't terrible.

I'll get on it before next week though. Anyway, I'm super happy to see "Timebomb" reigning supreme after you scared me and said it was being challenged for the top spot and could potentially drop. I'm glad to see it didn't. Your "We Found Love" obsession knows no end but I am happy to see the resurgence of Kelly's "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" as that helped me through some anger issues this past week.
