I think the 6 weeks between the US and the UK release don't make such a huge difference, do they ?

yes, it's a shame.. but the german albums market is really dominated my domestic artists.

For sure there are a lot of German artists on it but there is still a lot of place for international artists. This week, there are e.g. 42 German albums on it and 58 international ones... Wouldn't call that domination, like it's the case in e.g. Japan.

The other Coldplay albums charted for 99 weeks (Rush), for 64 weeks (X&Y) and for 62 weeks (Viva La Vida), so we can't blame it on the German market and as Paradise was a decent selling hit and a huge airplay hit, we also can't explain it with a lack of a hit.

In Austria, Mylo Xyloto also is already out of the charts, while in Switzerland, the album is in the top 10 again - that's strange,.
