right decision is correctly rewarded! I guess she can potential at gay audience, which ain't defo major part of her fanbase
Definitely. And I think she actually has a good few songs which should appeal to the mainstream gay audience such as "Before He Cheats", "Last Name", "The More Boys I Meet", "Cowboy Casanova", "Undo It" and "Good Girl".
I'm gay. Some of my gay friends like her quite alot too (in belgium). When glee covered her song of last name, some other glee fans over here downloaded the original song too and loved it. Well as far I know gay people and if that's a reference. I'm not really into the gay community. Like half or something lol. But that's not the point. I think she could truly have some succes over here, but the problem is just that europe is not a good market for country songs. I do think she has a gay fan base in the other markets she goes... It's not that country country sound you know. It has those elements of pop and attitude. Her gay fan base is just not as explicit there like with madonna or mariah. And it doesn't have to be.
I'm happy that she is going to perform in Uk. And she added australia with her previous release (play on). She is expanding her release radius carefully. Maybe too slow... I think she could have a huge crossover hit in other markets with before he cheats and also other songs. But her company doesn't want to take the risk, that's clear. I'm a huge fan of her, really huge (just check my last fm :p)... And I'm a typically raised belgian boy. So others could fall for it too...
If the dixie chicks could do it than she can do it too. It's another market though but still... She should try

+ I wanna have a chance to see her live. I can't go to her UK concert because I have my exames, otherwise I would go... but hey antother time I guess...
Ps. I miss the dixie chicks
