Give us that fuc*in' #1, Billboard!
According to Benny, 21 is now certified 7xP in Germany(1,4mln)!![]()
Hopefully this means week #24 will be confirmed tomorrow.For Adele's part, her anthem has helped last year's "21" stake out a long reign at the top of the Billboard 200, with the album expected to notch its 24th non-consecutive week at No. 1 with Wednesday's chart.
Hope it's correct....MusicIsGold wrote:From Billboard:Hopefully this means week #24 will be confirmed tomorrow.For Adele's part, her anthem has helped last year's "21" stake out a long reign at the top of the Billboard 200, with the album expected to notch its 24th non-consecutive week at No. 1 with Wednesday's chart.
Interesting, I expect 21 to reach 3rd on this list.Timmy94 wrote:This is a difference of just 200 copies.
Seems to be the toughest game for No. 1 since Michael Buble and Nickelback: On HDD, Nickelback leaded with ~ 7k and in the end, stayed at No. 2 with just 419 copies less than Buble.

Are you sure about no 2? It only peaked at 18 on the chart?

F-word yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Billboard wrote:Country king Alan Jackson debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with his latest effort, "Thirty Miles West." The set sold 73,000 in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Back on the Billboard 200, Adele's "21" returns to No. 1 for a 24th week, selling 75,000 (up 30%). The set is basking in the glow of the singer's NBC TV special, "Adele Live in London," which aired on June 3. "21" holds the most frames at No. 1 since Prince & the Revolution's "Purple Rain" soundtrack also spent 24 weeks atop the list in 1984 and 1985. Only eight albums -- including "21" -- have ruled for at least 24 weeks.
"21" has never left the top 10 in its entire 68-week chart run, dropping only as low as No. 7 on the Dec. 10, 2011, chart. It debuted at No. 1 on the March 12, 2011, tally.
Yes, No. 2 is right. It peaked relatively low but managed to get some catalog appeal and finally end as the all-time-longest charter... Everytime Andrea Berg releases a new album, her Best Of re-enters the chart, which is why it could reach those high sales despite this low peak.phoenix83 wrote:Interesting, I expect 21 to reach 3rd on this list.Timmy94 wrote:This is a difference of just 200 copies.

Finally! After so many near misses I thought it was never going to get that week.arab wrote:Back on the Billboard 200, Adele's "21" returns to No. 1 for a 24th week, selling 75,000 (up 30%).
No 3 is ideal.arab wrote:21 could drop to #3 next week on BB200 -> Usher - 120-130k, Rush - 85-95k, Ed Sheeran - 40-50k
I agree with your sales figures, I always said that we should roughly double the sales of albums released in the digital era to know what their sales would have been in previous eras. So I think "21" would stand at around 19x platinum at the moment.BeHereNow1997 wrote:I really wouldn't mind her having the record for most weeks at number 2. I know it isn't 1, but hey, you know how hard it is hit number 2 for almost 25 times?
You know. I bet if this album was released before the soundscan, I bet this album would be like 17-20X platinum. I mean no album before the soundscan, sold more than 5 million a year. The bodyguard was the first one. And albums back then, I think they are overcertified. Even if you add club sales, a lot of albums are still overcertified.
