Even fans on twitter are going crazy, It seems ppl really want her for new job!!

Looks like it's pretty much between Anastacia and Nicole then. I'd prefer Anastacia if Nicole is gonna be anything like she was in the US. I'd have thought the fact Simon got rid of her off that panel would mean he wouldn't want her near this one either? :-?

It was reported that Simon doesn't want Nicole on the panel, and that he is backing Anastacia from the start.. ITV is having Nicole's back..

But Nicole was received really well on the UK panel so I can see why ITV would want her.

Also at this current time, Nicole will have more power to bring in viewers than Anastacia

I think it's very easy to underestimate just how popular Anastacia once was - her success in Europe trounces the Pussycat Doll's.

I also think that she'd be extremely well received - I need Anastacia back in my life again!

I agree. And although Anastacia was popular, she never cemented a strong legacy, so a lot of people will have never heard of her.

She was very of her time you're right. Nicole has had the UK press all over her for years so she's always been in the public psyche whereas Anastacia fell out as soon as "Anastacia" fell out the charts.

That doesn't mean anything!! Put 2 days anyone in media, and nobody will care about time they were gone..
They don't need someone who is popular, they never did(as X Factor is pretty much bigger brand than anyone they could possibly get) they just need someone who will make great TV... and I'm sure Anastacia can give them that over Nicole especially with latest reports from auditions...

Also there is reason for not hearing much about Anstacia in media during past years...

1. Anstacia was never big media personality, she never cared about it, it was always about her music.. Even when she was selling more albums than Britney, Madonna, Beyonce etc. there wasn't much gossiping about her going around..
2. She lives in US where she is not known.. So over past years we had her dissapiring there for years, and ofcourse we will hear nothing.. So basicly she kept herself out of spotlight...

LOL now Anastacia is loved out of nowhere. It's kinda interesting. She hasn't been seen since the Ice Cage and now she's like everyone's favourite. I don't mind her being a judge, but she's a little bit too irrelevant IMO (not that Nicole is relevant :lol:

). Give me Mel B any day, at least she's entertaining.

Yup, it's a shame people usually only care about the media whores, so it's refreshing to see Ana get this attention! Happy!

Good point but Sharon Osbourne was pretty popular at the time (but yes, probably not relevant) and from what I remember the general public didn't warm to Dannii until her second year on the show.

If it is Nicole, I have mixed feelings.

POSITIVE:
- She's nice to look at and talks a lot of sense.
- I find it impossible to dislike her because she seems so nice and genuine.
- Next to Tulisa, she is going to seem even better!

NEGATIVE:
- She is a US reject, so why pawn her off on us? Doesn't look good.
- It would have been nice to have somebody British.
- Not sure how much drama she will bring to the table (something Kelly did very well!)
- Because of her meddling with the categories, GAMU DIDN'T GET THROUGH!
