Then you are likely among the minority to think so because most people were disappointed by The Beginning...

i don't care for being a minorty.. i just think their dance/electro sound shows much more perfection and creativity than most artists of that genre.

well.. The Beginning isn't an album I would take to a lonely island with me.. but it's a great album to listen to at parties or to prepare oneself to attend one.

'Hey Mama' :D I was obsessed with it at the time and I've been following them since that song.

I don't consider myself a BEP fan but "Meet Me Halfway" was the first song from them that I absolutely loved and "Just Can't Get Enough" actually made me check out The Beginning where my love for them officially died.

"Shut Up". Then "Hey Mama" lasted my obsession. "Don't Phunk With My Heart" was the peak of everything. I was about to buy their albums. Now I consider them rubbish.

I can't remember exactly when or why, it probably had something to do with UKMix, but at some point after "With Every Heartbeat" became a smash, I decided to check out some of Robyn's other singles and really fell in love with "Be Mine". When "Dancing On My Own" came out, I absolutely loved it too, and I've definitely kept a closer eye on her singles since then. I still don't own any of Robyn's albums, but I have many of her hits in my iTunes Library, with "Dancing On My Own", "Call Your Girlfriend", and "Be Mine" being the most played.

so...when did YOU first hang with Robyn?

Honestly, the whole Robyn album. One of the best pop albums of the last decade.

Exactly!

And by the way, as much as their electro-pop is bashed on here, they actually made it a relevant genre, I mean, where would electro-pop be without "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling"?? It's so common and safe now for artists to release a song in this genre but they really made it popular mainstream-wise.

Since Do You Know (What it Takes). After that album, she all but dissapeared till I read that one of the guys from Billboard named Be Mine one of his top 10 favorite songs in 05. Then, the re-release of Robyn and the Body Talk masterpieces! Hurry back Robyn!

since Show Me Love ==> Be Mine ==> With Every Heartbeat ==> Dancing On My Own ==> Call You Girlfriend ==> she didn t disappoint me so far.
What if we choose to exist in a reality of our own making, does that render us insane, and if so, isn't that better than a life of despair?

With Every Heartbeat. After that, I ate each track with pleasure. Oh looks-wise and since she had that new Robyn-era haircut.

So true! And the texture of her voice is so smooth and soulful! Too bad it's not as distinct because of the genre of music she has now, but she is a top-notch vocalist! 8-) 8-)

With Every Heartbeat was the only song I really liked from her.

I loved "Show Me Love" in the 90s but then assumed we'd never hear from her again. The material on "Robyn" was great but it was "Dancing On My Own" that really made me a fan... still one of my favourite songs from the past few years.
