Well, for reaching Gold it must only sell 4 times its opening sales, this can be done without a notable longevity  .

#1 in Austria as well!!! :D shocked at how well she is doing, given that her lead single didn't do so well. Her fanbase must be huge! :D :D

Great for Austria & Germany. Well, both were to expect.
Now i'm curious for the Swiss Charts... should be out tomorrow evening. I hope she will reach #1 too, but our national act 'Gölä' is a huge threat and i guess Amy will debut at #2...

A Curious Thing is also only Gold in the UK and debuted with over 40,000 copies sold. And normally albums sell less than the previous albums PLUS personally i think A Curious Thing is way better than Life In A Beautiful Light... that's why i think it could be more difficult for it to reach Gold than for the previous album(s).

Norway Album Charts

28 (NEW) Life In A Beautiful Light

TITL peaked at #5, ACT peaked at #22...

She has lost touced in Scandinavia countries. Though I hope a top 10 in Denmark. ACT has sold 210k in UK, as of estimate.

^ thanks! Didn't know that A Curious Thing sold over 200k, but that's great!

Scandinavia is always special... for example, Adele wasn't that big there (especially in Sweden), the same with Lana Del Rey.

btw Amy sold 14 copies more than Usher at #3 in the UK last week...

16 copies, not 14!

----

At first I thought Amy Macdonald could stay at No. 1 in Germany next week, but now I think it could go to Justin Bieber's new album.
His last album "only" peaked at No. 7, but reached Platinum, and now he didn't just perform at GNTM, but (gossip) magazines start talking about him all the time, what they didn't do back in My World-era... For sure, his popularity won't be as big as in the US, but I still think it should be enough for No. 1...

Definitely, I think 4th of July is the best song from the album.

UK midweeks:
4. (2.) Life in a Beautiful Light :)

Was on "Loose Women" daytime UK TV Monday, apparently brilliant, I have Skyplused but not watched yet, will do well to stay Number 4 or 5

What number is single in UK midweeks?

I don't know, because BBC shows only top 40 on midweeks and she is not there. But Slow It Down is currently on n.43 on itunes, so I think the single will be around n.40 - n.50.

Life In A Beautiful Light debuts at #9 in Denmark! My predictions were correct! She definitely has a bigger fanbase in Denmark and she went there for a promo this week too. :D :D

Somehow, the album has not been released in Italy. I don't see it anywhere in FIMI charts :o :o

#36 in Spanish charts. No hit single, but at least her fanbase is there.

In many European countries, her debuts are higher than Usher. So happy about that :D :D

Great increase in Norway and huge debut in Denmark. Did she make a promo tour in Norway or why is the album increasing there? It already outpeaked A Curious Thing...

btw there's no entry in the Finnish Album Top50 this week.
