Bitterness aside, I'm glad to see "Still Getting Younger" debut at #1. I checked it out and it's pretty good. She could've gotten a more attractive model for the video but it was cute so it's all good.
I also checked out "Wake Me Up" and Ed's lyrics are so random that I just can't help but laugh.

for a while, I too thought that Carrie might earn her first PaulBoard No. 1...but I didn't realize just how much more I'd played the three songs that ended up above "Blown Away"!

thanks for giving "Still Getting Younger" a try - the video is what made me fall absolutely in love with the song! I also think it's kind of refreshing that she chose a more "real" looking guy to her her love interest...maybe that's just Wynter's type? or maybe that's her actual bf?

any rate, it goes to show that the best videos don't need to be product-filled big-budget ordeals.
I bought Ed Sheeran's album a couple weeks ago, and I've been really pleased with it! I'm starting to really love his songwriting style, and his voice is fantastic!

I'm not TOO familiar with most of Demi's discography, but "Give Your Heart A Break" is definitely the best thing I've heard from her so far!

BadGirl wrote:Really great chart, lot of great pop songs!
many thanks! my charts tend to be pretty pop-tastic.

aw, I'm glad you're excited by that entry, but I'm actually pretty much over that song already, so hopefully you can find something else you like on my next chart!

joel77m77 wrote:Havn't heard your #1 yet, is it a new song from her?
it's the 4th single from her
With The Music I Die album/EP, but I just discovered the music video a couple weeks ago, and I was instantly hooked!
GoodBoyGoneBad wrote:Very good number one song, I'm glad to see a lot of Cheryl songs charting, but what a awful drop for Kylie!
glad you approve of "Still Getting Younger", and don't worry too much about Kylie, she'll enjoy a nice rebound on my next chart!

Really, REALLY AMAZING.

thank you! I just can't get enough of it! <3

I just bought
Hands All Over a week or so ago, and although I've only given it a couple proper listens, I'd have to agree about "Stutter". hopefully
Overexposed is a bit more satisfying!

glad to see you like all of those ones too!

adg wrote:Good to see Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson climb and Rudimental enter
unlike most UKMixers, I'm actually not too impressed with that Rudimental track

it doesn't have a very bright future on my chart...
PosziMC2 wrote:I'm here for those Carrie songs! Blown Away >
it looks like No. 4 will probably be the peak for "Blown Away", but now it's tied as her highest-peaking song and it's lasted longer on my chart than any other song of hers!

abi wrote:Anyway, have you heard the album?
I actually haven't yet, only "Payphone"...but I definitely plan on buying it sometime this week!

toni_pest wrote:Still haven't played Cheryl's album, but it seems you really like it so I should give it a listen, great jump for Demi!
ah, I guess my chart was slightly deceptive - I actually haven't heard most of
A Million Lights yet, just the singles and the "Call My Name" B-sides (and "Mechanics Of The Heart", which Akini recommended). if you do check it out in full, I'd love to hear what you think!
