Dead at the video of the year nominees Beyonce and Jay monopolize that category

It wouldn't surprise me if Chris won best male artist because the others really did nothing last year.

Could care less for the nominees, all I know is that they usually bring it with the performances.

Yes BET always have great performances!
Bey may attend but then again she seems so content being out of the scene lately.

It's really ridiculous. Out of all those females she had one of the if not the biggest RNB song of last year. Yet they nominate Beyonce like 9 times. This is why EBT remains the shady mess that it is!

Why on Earth would Where Have You Been be nominated?

#1. Didn't that song just come out?
#2. It's house music. This is BET we're talking about. Rihanna has some pull but she doesn't have that kind of pull.

Chris's "Turn Up The Music" was nominated, as well as Lady Gaga's "Telephone" back in 2009. I guess it's just too "new".

Lady Gaga's Telephone was nominated because of Beyonce.

And Turn Up The Music is all Chris Brown. You know BET loves to ride his (fill-in-the-blank).

Even if the song came out in like January, Rihanna still wouldn't of gotten a nomination for it. Like I said, Rihanna doesn't have the pull of Beyonce and Chris Brown...

But whatever. If Beyonce performs, I'll tune in. If not, then I won't.

BET Awards can just be so rigged...

LOL at brianna perry getting a nomination... DO ya'll even know who she is? She's just filling space for real. Nicki will win the award, she probably won't even show up to accept it.

@House music: It doesn't say that the BET awards "black music". It only "celebrate[s] African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year."
So as long as you are African American or another minority you can be nominated, even if you do classical music, country, dubstep or contempporary latin jazz.

Not really, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Robin Thicke have been nominated before.

And IMO there's no way Bruno will get this R&B award, his last Urban hit was probably "Nothin' On You" lol, it easily goes to Chris Brown.

I love Bruno but he's not going to win that award.

Miguel >>>> Chris Brown

But after all...it is BET.

Miguel will get snubbed once again. That's okay. He's going to blow them all out of the water with his new album.

The nods make sense, I guess. Beyonce and CB are the biggest R&B stars of the past year.

Wayne and Drake are the biggest in hip hop, so I don't quite understand how Jay/Kanye dominated the nods and they didn't! (Illuminati??? j/k)

Bruno bet NOT win an award for Best R&B Male! Hell no... his voice is soulful but his album is cheesy pop, not soul/R&B or Hip Hop.

Miguel deserves to win Best R&B Male and not be snubbed, but I am sure he will.

WHYB is too new to get a nod (I don't think that speaks to "pull" Titan... it's always so damn deep with you), but would qualify as it is a song by "an African American or other minority."
"Take A Bow"... Rihanna's ONLY ballad to go #1 on the Hot 100 (also topped the R&B Chart)... Great deed for her most epic ballad!!!

These nominations are trash.

LOL at the Video of The Year categories. Love on Top, **** in Paris and Climax were basically home videos. WTF are they doing there?

Well, but come on? What other R&B/Hip-Hop videos that are better than those ones?

The others are pretty much the same typical club videos with sexy ladies, alcohol and stuff. (Though I think "How To Love" should've been there)

Edit: Wait, well actually "Headlines" and "Next 2 You" are pretty cool videos too.
