Definitely Breakaway (the album)

her 5 singles were all ace and defnintley was on of those defining albums of 2005-6 ish

Th singles were:
Breakaway
Since You've Been Gone
Behind These Hazel Eyes
Because of You
Walk Away

and also I Hate Myself For Losing You and Addicted are amazing from Breakway

after that I guess her newest album(Stronger)

the strongest there for me) are:

Let Me Down (probably my favourite KC song ever)
I Forgive You
Honestly
Standing In Front of You
You Love Me

as for her biggest hits:
all 5 Breakaway singles +
My Life Would Suck Without You
Already Gone
What Doesn't Kill You
Mr. Know It All
Never Again
Miss Independent
and maybe.. I Do Not Hook Up but that's mediocre

Two 70s singer-songwriters I plan to get into next (and I actually have several vinyl records of theirs that I got cheap), Cat Stevens (sadly his personal life was bigger news than his music for years... but seeing Harold And Maude made me appreciate and want to delve into his music) and Joni Mitchell.

For Cat I own Tea For The Tillerman, Teaser And The Firecat and Catch Bull At Four on vinyl (all I acquired for under a dollar) and with Joni I own Clouds, Blue, For The Roses, Court And Spark, The Hissing Of Summer Lawns and Hejira that I all got for very cheap on vinyl too... so I look forward in the future to immersing myself in their work.

I definitely need to further my exploration of Ray LaMontagne and Paloma Faith.

If you want something more personal, raw and honest... I think you should try "Sober", "Never Again" & "Can I Have a Kiss?" on her album "My DeCember"... Specially "SOBER", you can try that one at least... it makes me cry every time!

Paloma: just listen to her first album in its entirety.

Excellent choices!

I want to discover The Kinks music, plus some Queen obscure material.

Keane please.

I know there is a lot more to them than Is It Any Wonder, Everybodys Changing and Somewhere Only We Know.

But I have heard they have lots of fillers also.

So, where should I begin so that I explore their finest initially, so that I don't lose my interest and momentum while further discovering them.
