The album is definitely one of MC's weakest but "Through The Rain" and "My Saving Grace" are both fantastic. "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" is probably my third fave from the album.

I get Through the Rain and I appreciate it, but its a little bland for me. I like My Saving Grace too. I think my top three are Both, Clown, You Had Your Chance/Lullaby.

Yeah, I totally see how "Through The Rain" can come off as bland. It takes some time for the song to really hit it's stride and get to the amazing part. I like "Clown" and "You Had Your Chance" too but "Lullaby" is a bit boring.

According to my LastFM, it's The Emancipation of Mimi but E=MC² isn't too far behind. Mariah Carey is also a phenomenal record that I play often. I think that's recently eclipsed E=MC² as my fave MC record. What about you?

Why do I get the feeling we're drifting off-topic from this thread?

Daydream and E=MC2 are my top two albums. I can't say I play whole albums, I generally just play songs Im in the mood for. All her albums have great songs, so its hard to just play one.

I agree. All of her albums have at least one or two gems that stand out from the rest. Daydream is an album I feel is a bit overrated but I think it might grow on me. Some of the tracks are just too dreary and bland for my taste.

Daydream has a few bland tracks, but overall I think its one of her stronger albums. What tracks do you find dreary? It think Fantasy was brilliant and fresh. Underneath the Stars is poetic and beautiful. I could go on and on. I think she found herself as an artist on this album.

You said you really liked E=MC2...what are you favs from that ablum?

I find "I Am Free", "Melt Away", "Underneath The Stars", and "Long Ago" to be a bit monotonous. For me, "Fantasy" was a grower and I still think that one's a bit overrated.

As for E=MC², "For The Record" is just brilliant, easily the standout track! Words cannot express how much I love that one. I liked all the singles plus "Migrate", "Last Kiss", "O.O.C.", and "Cruise Control". There really isn't a bad song on the album.
