If Justin Bieber and Cheryl Cole managed to get to no.1 and 2 with under 40k (in the UK) i'm sure this is a guaranteed number 1?? Unless another new entry could do better.. Is Maroon 5 out too?
Got a bottle of whatever but "Let's Get In This Truck" wtf

Yes, Maroon 5 release their album, too, but I don't think that they could outdo Linkin Park...

Justin Bieber and Cheryl Cole are bad examples, considering the expectations in both were bigger after a 600k+ album (Bieber) and a 400k+ album (Cheryl).

How much did the No. 1 album sell? Could Living Things have reached that, too?

no, #1 sold 102k so that was impossible!

but still very impressive first week! The best first week from an international artist since Lady Gaga's Born This Way!

Number one was aiko, popular female popstar. Her album Toki no Silhouette sold 101,718 copies, so not a chance, unfortunately.

Darnit pororo, totally beat me there

But yeah, great sales nonetheless. Can think of no other Western artist bar Lady Gaga and Avril whose latest studio effort sold as much first week.

Highest peaking single? wow! I thought they had 1 #1 hit
I've just realised that there are 2 versions charting on iTunes. The 2nd one is @ #19, so BID is #2 combined :D :D

Really? Damn... How could i miss that? I'm embarassed.

I was wondering why it was dropping so suddenly. :P

If we go by musicload and Amazon, i predict a second week at number 2... The worst thing could be at number 3 actually.

musicload - 4
Amazon - 3 & 182

Hell yeah! Such an amazing song ;). Everytime it appears between the football matches, we are literally jumping and singing along with the song.

This has to reach Platinum or more!

UK Mids
#1 Living Things!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

The Los Angeles-based band, who released their fifth studio album, Living Things, on Monday, have taken an early lead in the race to this week’s Number 1. And, if they can maintain it going into the weekend, it will give Linkin Park their sixth Top 10 album and third UK Number 1. However, they face tough competition from fellow US rockers Maroon 5 whose latest release, Overexposed (Number 2), is a mere 5,000 copies behind them on today’s Official Chart Update. The Official Charts Company expects it to be a closely fought battle right up to Sunday’s final whistle.

Considering the very low album sales in UK, 5k is a quite big distance :)

They should grab both US and UK #1 spots!!

Reminds me of Minutes To Midnight and Not Soon Before Long's debuts around the same time back then
