Muse are set to debut their brand new Olympic track, 'Survival', tonight (June 27) on BBC Radio 1.

The station will premiere the track at 7.30pm (BST) on Zane Lowe's show. Rumours all week have suggested that the track would be called 'Unsustainable', 'Supremacy' or 'The Award'. But the title has now been confirmed at Muse.mu.

The site confirms that the song has been chosen for the London 2012 games. A statement reads: "Matt wrote the song with the Olympics in mind. It's about total conviction and pure determination to win.

"The song will be played throughout the Games including when athletes enter the stadium, in the lead up to the medal ceremony and also as the theme for all international TV coverage... We are honoured that the Olympics have chosen our song to officially represent the London 2012 Olympic Games across the globe."
Looking forward to this!

New reports say this is actually going to be called Survival and it will be the anthem for the Olympics.

Hopefully this will wash away the bad taste of Neutron Star Collision.

LISTEN

It reminds me of "Bohemian Rhapsody" in parts, it's quite epic if quite unconventionally dark for an Olympic anthem.

Queen Hev bumped for Muse though... :(

I definitely feel the Bohemian Rhapsody comparison, though not a bad thing really. Song is very good.

I don't like it. It sounds like they're trying too hard really.

Looking forward to the album. :)

Hate to say it, but I don't like it. They've made better songs.

"Survival" sounds like a b-side of their latest album... I was expecting something as great as "Uprising". :( I'm disappointed, although the production is phenomenal.

:-?

Not sure if I like it... The theme is nice, some guitar riffs too, but seems that the melody goes nowhere.

Unlike Bohemian Rhapsody, there is not too much emotion in the song as a whole.

Yes, it is a bit underwhelming, but still really good. Uprising was too good to top.

Song is good. Yes, it reminds their latest album's era. But it was a great era for Muse.

But for Olympics this song is awful. It doesn't fit to World Fiesta...more fit for World War =(((

This is just awful and goes nowhere.

Looks like they're trying hard to sound like Queen but this is an epic fail.

Can't believe this is the Olympic anthem.
