2004 was such a strong year when it comes to music :o .

I just realize this when I compare this to some of today's music...

And is it just me or was the music style at that time far more versatile?

IMHO it's always been quite versatile, it's just the video which gives the impression. Not thrilled about the first acts shown in the clip tbh. But it's great you brought it up. :D

I watched like 40 minutes of Bridesmaids and I had to stop it, I just couldn't watch more. What an awful movie!! What's going on with comedies these days?? Most of them (if not all) have horrid plots and aren't funny at all. 10 minutes of Desperate Housewives are funnier and more memorable than this s*it. What's even worse is that I really don't get how that fat girl got an Academy Award nomination?! There's a scene of her defecating on a lavatory! Since when that's Oscar worthy?!

Though I do think the film's good, it is very overrated and how Melissa McCarthy was nominated for an Oscar for this and superior performances (e.g. Carey Mulligan in Shame) were snubbed is disgusting.

I'm gonna go off on a bit of rant now and say that she did not deserve an Emmy either for her role in Mike & Molly. She's a good actress but her role is terrible in that TV show and to win against great performances from the likes of Tina Fey and Martha Plimpton is ridiculous.

To me, 2008 was the best year in music of the last decade by far : Viva La Vida, Rockferry, I Am Sasha Fierce, Only By The Night, The Fame, Death Magnetic, Fearless, 19, Black Ice, Sleep Through The Static, Tha Carter III ...These albums are all fcking epic in their own way 8-)
What if we choose to exist in a reality of our own making, does that render us insane, and if so, isn't that better than a life of despair?

Just looking at the iTunes Alternative chart and so many songs in the charts are much more pop than alternative music. :-?

almost everything on this forum has to do with charts. I get the feeling this forum is obsessed with charts. I never even knew there were ppl in the world who actually give a damn about any kind of charts before I joined this forum. and now Im already allergic to seeing the word "chart".

Of all the active recording artists, who would you deem worthy to surpass Mariah's record for number one singles?
