It depends. Only deluxe edition is counted as 2 discs. Assuming that it's the version that sells more it should be somewhere around that number.

HOW many times do we have to go over this?

Celebration is not just a 2cd album.

It is also a 1cd album that is getting most of the sales.

Sales would have to be 750k+ to be certified Platinum.

It's not going to happen anytime soon.

I'm not trying to argue with you, but it was certified GOLD when it barely moved 150,000 copies. Just sayin'...

If you read my post above yours, you would realize that your drama is totally unnecessary.

Yes, because it was released just before the 4th Quarter.

Lots of copies shipped to record stores for Christmas shopping...

I just get tired of reading "Celebration should be Platinum." No. Or, "COADF should be 2xp." No.

really we don t care if you are tired or not , the facts are the facts , yes COADF never will be 2xp ,but celebration would be , because it still selling and is almost sure that it will still selling for ever, it took TIC place , maybe , the combined sales of celebration in us are above 600,000 , if its still selling to ending this year ,Warner would certify it..why not , even TIC was certified dynond with around 9,400,000 copies sold in us...also we have to wait the tour effect.

celebration sales per year in us

2009 150,000 gold even before xmas
2010 120,000
2011 37,000 even when Madonna was without new album ,tour, kinda of promo..
2012 66,000 to date

Perhaps this is old news here, but just in case:

http://www.oricon.co.jp/news/rankmusic/2013804/full/

Madonna is the only female Western solo artist to have a number on album in three different decades (80s, 90s, 00s). There are only six female solo artists, including her, who have achieved this feat in Japan (the other then, of course, being native acts).

the mdna project is very lucrative for warner bros.
the CLB release could be more profitable than HC for them: only 2 new songs recorded, two amateur videos, almost zero promotion and millions of copies sold!
