Black & White 2?! I never saw that coming :o

Is it a whole new game, or just the Crystal/Platinum/Whatever of this gen?!

Also, they *must* have an original one in development for the 3DS, it would be ridiculous not to.

I'm glad it's not ONLY in 3D, cos I still only have a Nintendo DS, no 3DS.

What is this going to be? The third version of B/W or a completely new game? I won't play it if it's just the third version but it's all new I might buy it!

the latest issue of CoroCoro (a Japanese magazine) revealed a fair amount of info:

- The games are true sequels, taking place two years after the originals.

- The Unova region sports new towns, buildings, locations, and Gym Leaders. New subway lines will take you to new places.

- The Pokedex features 300 Pokemon from every generation. So far, Psyduck is #026, Riolu is #033, Metagross is #254, and Eevee is confirmed but has an unknown Dex number.

- Black Kyurem is confirmed to know Freeze Shock and White Kyurem is confirmed to know Ice Burn.

- There are two new protagonists along with a new rival. The rival has text saying, "Now I'm gonna get angry!" He's the boy with the blue spiky hair. He is your childhood friend.

- Homika is a new Poison-type Gym Leader. She's the girl holding the guitar. She is going to be in an episode of the show in June.

- Shizui is also a new Gym Leader who uses Water Pokemon. He's the tan guy with the goggles.

- There is a new "mysterious guy" named Akuroma who is studying Pokemon strength. Sometimes he'll help you on your journey. He's the guy with the glasses and white coat.

- You begin your journey in Hiougi City. It is on the map in an area that was previously uninhabited in the original games on the left side of Unova (the southwest side). It features an underwater tunnel made of glass (does it take you to the main region?). The city also sports a Pokemon Center, a Trainer School, and shops.

- The magazine points out that there is new construction in the Resort Desert and that there is a new building with red and blue decorations. For the latter it says, "What's it mean?"

apparently I'm the only one excited for these  they come out in Japan in a little over a week! the latest CoroCoro revealed more details:

- the Magby and Buneary evolution lines are exclusive to Black 2, while the Skitty and Elekid evolution lines are exclusive to White 2

- the PokéShifter returns

- Black City and White Forest are back and have got makeovers, which version gets which is not mentioned

- Elesa returns as a gym leader, confirmed to have Flaaffy. Elesa's gym is now like a fashion runway

- New Plasma / Old Plasma meet at some point

- to change Keldeo’s to its Resolute form you need to bring all three “muskedeers” to Sangi Town’s nearby Forest

- scans imply that Keldeo need to know the move Secret Sword to be able to change form

credit goes to http://pokejungle.net for the info!

I'm excited for this, but I'm more busy with other games at the moment (gotta finish Professor Layton 2 and Chrono Trigger so I can start playing LA Noire) and also factor in that I still haven't finished playing Black yet

I love most of the Pokemon games, Especially Heartgold & SoulSilver, But I didn’t really get into Black & White. I played them but after I finished them I kinda gave up on them. Normally, for me, with a pokemon game i’d know all the names of the new Pokemon, the names of the towns and cities, gym leaders and the people you meet along the way, but I find it hard to recall any of them. I hated most of the new pokemons names also. Not sure if i’ll get the new games when they come out here, probably will

 how far have you gotten in Black? is there something that's giving you trouble, or did you just get bored with it? I'm not a big gamer, Pokemon is actually the only series I still play (and have been playing since good 'ol Blue), so that's why I've been keeping a close eye on these sequels.

 well, you should like these sequels a bit better than the original Black/White, since now:

a.) many non-Unova Pokemon are available right from the start, so you can use some of your old favorites instead of the new Generation V ones you seem to hate. ;)

b.) the Gym Leader roster is shaping up to be different from the original Black/White too. so far we know:

new Gym Leaders:
- Cheren (normal-type, replacing Lenora)
- Homika (poison)
- Shizui (water)

(Homika and Shizui don't have English names yet)

returning Gym Leaders:
- Elesa (electric)
- Skyla (flying)

Now I know that they're completely new games and not a rehash of B/W, I'm excited :D

Definitely gonna get it when it comes out! I can't believe it's been over a year since B/W came out. I remember picking up my preordered copy the day it was released in NZ and being so excited. Can't wait for that to happen again :D

a few lucky individuals in Japan already have already received these games, so spoilers are surfacing online at a very rapid pace.

check out this site to read all about the changes in Black 2 & White 2, including all the new Gym Leader/E4/Champion rosters, the new storyline, and old Pokemon now available all across Unova! :D

Black and White done nothing for me. I actually nearly hated them.

That being said, I'm LOVING Black and White 2. There just feels like there's a lot more effort put in it.

:Potential Spoiler:
I'm loving the fact that you can catch older Pokemon from the get go. But not just any old Pokemon, COOL old Pokemon

This!

I'm so tired of this out-dated look when there are much better hardware that can produce amazing graphics!

I don't even play handheld games anymore :(

I prefer smartphone games or straight up home console! and I cant wait to buy the wii u.

Well, as a poor person who can't afford a Wii, I'm very glad they're still releasing on the Nintendo DS!

I can't believe this comes out next month :o It came up so fast! Ohhh I hope I have enough money to buy it by then

I might get White 2 cos I got Black originally.

Seriously!

I even had a hard time finding the face of the Dig... I mean Pokémon to the left in the opening post. They look like robots instead of creatures living together in the same world as humans.

I bought my copy of White 2 this afternoon :D

I got Black last time, so I decided to get White this time!

I'm about to challenge the first gym, and so far I'm actually liking this a lot better then Black. Black was really fun, but I think this seems better somehow?

I'm starting to form my team - so far I have Oshawott, Mareep <3, Riolu and Lillipup. I've never trained a Riolu before so I'm excited about that, and Mareep is one of my favourite Pokemon :D
