Glad to see "Telephone" and "Dance In The Dark". Both will be charting considerably high in my countdown and are definitely one of my many favourite Gaga songs. Pound The Alarm has grown on me again, so it's definitely gonna have a steep rise on my chart this week. As usual, all the Mariah entries are great and I definitely hope to see "We Belong Together" or "Butterfly" rebounding again. That Britney track is a true classic and is definitely one of the most defining moments of a career ever in music history in my opinion, as the choreography, the music video and everything else is just perfect and was a perfect opener to Britney. I'm hoping "Good Time" don't fall out of the top 10 just yet - it's definitely a summer smash and hopefully it can maintain its momentum on your chart. "My Life Would Suck Without You" is one of my favourite Kelly singles ever and it's definitely a worthy #1 for her.

woah, a nearly flawless chart today! I'm a bit bummed to see Mariah fall from No. 1, but there's so many wonderful re-entries to distract me: "Telephone", "Dance In The Dark" (glad to know you know the actual lyrics now ), MLWSWY, "Dreamlover", and more! <3 <3 <3


"Summertime Sadness" = well, the pre-chorus (the "oh, my god, I feel it in the air..." bit) is probably the catchiest thing I've heard from Lana so far...but, and I think I've said this before, it really seems to be her voice that puts me off. it's not that she's totally talentless, I watched a live clip of this one too and she's not entirely tone deaf or anything...her voice is just...totally unappealing.

"Lucky Ones" = it's better than "Video Games", I can hear why you'd recommend this one...but I still don't get what would possess anyone to WANT to listen to her. I guess she's the...anti-Adele right now? America (radio, the population in general) wrongfully snubs a lot of promising acts all the time...but I'm so thankful that Lana fever hasn't hit here yet. *knock on wood*

MC is coming for the top spot today and it's a track that's familiar with being #1 too.

Ooh, I'm so glad you checked out the Lana songs! I don't really consider Lana the "anti-Adele" and I think her voice is really haunting though many of her detractors comment that it's "boring, dull, uninviting, appalling". She makes me feel whatever it is she's singing and I think that's the mark of a truly great artist. I never expected you to like her but I'm very appreciative of you at least giving her a chance. <3

Gurl, don't knock on that wood just yet (unless of course we're discussing a different kind of wood). Sexual innuendo aside, "Summertime Sadness" is going to come for wigs, you mark my words. I want #1 everywhere: the US, the UK, Australia, Germany, Canada, Mars, Venus, planets that we don't know exist. I stan hard for that masterpiece.

Great chart! And I'm glad to have re-ignited your love for "Telephone", as it's a really awesome song. Mariah is dominating today - and I'm particularly happy to see "Can't Take That Away" re-entering every now and then on your chart. But... at the steep drop for "Butterfly"! Hopefully it can remain on your chart tomorrow. Glad to see "Scared of Lonely" return as it's one of my favourite non-singles from the "I Am... Sasha Fierce" record. "Waking Up In Vegas" is so different from Katy's current music style and it's good for that. And though this may be a little off topic, but I've re-discovered some other Jordin songs which may be charting in my chart this week - "S.O.S. (Let The Music Play)", "Battlefield" and "Tattoo". "S.O.S. (Let The Music Play) is SOOO catchy - I love it! It (I think) is my second-fave song I've heard from Jordin thus far (my fave being "No Parade"). I'll be sure to discover the rest of her songs in due course, but now I'm focusing more on the singles and I'm glad you introduced me to Jordin as I find her one of the finest talents to come out of a reality television show.
