• In what we could presume was one of the closest battles for #1 so far this year, the dark horse, Reece Mastin has come out on top. This marks the second #1 single for the X-Factor winner thanks to his loyal fanbase
• Fun. will have to settle for an impressive #2 jump with 'Some Nights', whilst P!nk makes no appearance on the chart this week, held off by Sony until next week. Speaking of which, she is very much the hot favourite to hit #1 next week. Reece looks to take a spectacular stumble from #1 (well, not of Karise Eden proportions, but in general!), aside from being assisted by the 'signed single' promo, he'd be lucky to be in the top 10 again next week.
• I think Sony may be going for a trifecta here, with Reece debuting at #1 this week, P!nk debuting at #1 next week and a new Delta single launching sometime in the next 2-4 weeks, could they score three consecutive #1 debuts?
• Rudimental bullet to #6 this week and look to sit in the top 5 next week
• Justice Crew benefit greatly from their AGT performance, with 'Boom Boom' premiering at #24 this week. It is likely to bullet to around #10 next week, which will make them no longer a one-hit wonder and create a chart result much more impressive than their previous release 'Sexy & You Know It' which IIRC didn't even make the top 100
• It's my feel-good anthem prediction, 'Good Time' by Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen debuts at #15, it will have its eyes set on the top ten soon, but it might not truly take off until a video drops and radio really gets behind it
• Matt Corby's 'Into The Flame EP' notches up an impressive 30th week in the top 50, goes to show the power of the Triple J Hottest 100
• Ricki-Lee's 'Do It Like That' has proven to be quite the sleeper hit, spending 13 weeks in the top 50 so far, it is the third longest run she's ever had in the ARIA Top 50 (behind her hits 'Sunshine' and 'Can't Touch It'). It'll be interesting to see how her new single 'Crazy' performs when it hits digital outlets this Friday.
That's it
