I don't know if she'll mantain these positions, Blue Jeans and Born To Die had an incredible longevity, they both charted for around 20 weeks. Christina could be a great challenger, but she needs to hurry up.

Your entire Top 5 is just flawless. I am so pleased to see Lana occupying the Top 2 slots. Gotye's song has grown off of me a bit but I still like to hear it every now and again. "We Are Young" and "Starships" were both past #1's on my Daily Top 20 so I'm glad to see them in the mix too.

I'm not too thrilled about "Payphone" holding any record here but kudos to Maroon 5 anyway. As much as I absolutely adore Lana and Born To Die, Britney's still my homegirl so I'm hoping that someone blocks Lana from equaling her record.

I know, i just did something very quick and simple to summarize a few things, it was useful even for me. :wink:

Gotye's and fun's songs were a little surprise: they weren't #1 hits, but they had an incredible longevity! Payphone would have been in a Top 10 (#7 or #8), but i'm sure it will be a Top 5 in the year end chart. And i'm also sure you're gonna hate it even more now that my next weekly chart comes out... :lol:

As for Lana, another week at #1 could happen with Summertime Sadness release video, if it's going to have the same affect as National Anthem had. It all depends on other albums, this week she had basically no chance at all to get a 9th week at #1.

Also thanks to fran_ and mostfierce2009, hope you're gonna love my next chart too.

Great to see the Beyonce re-entries and Pinks new song, glad it charted very high.
But what I'm most pleased to see is Mr Bright Eyes by Rebecca, I didn't expect to see it but it's such an amazing song.

Last week "Payphone" blocked "National Anthem" from the top spot and this week it blocks P!nk's new song too?

I'm pleased to see Linkin Park's "Lost In The Echo" debut though and you've got a number of excellent re-entries namely: "Call Me Maybe", "Run The World (Girls)", "I Miss You", "Turn Me On", and "Perfect World".

I'm also pleased to see a few MC entries charting. Oh, and is "Hundred Dollar Bill" a new Lana song or is supposed to be "Million Dollar Bill"? Fantastic chart overall.

Actually, i don't really like her as a person, but music is a completely different thing, and i think that Quelcu'un M'a Dit is the best french song i've ever heard. I've heard 3 or 4 french songs in my entire life, but still... :lol:

Yes, it's a quite nice song. Rebecca is the "quite nice" artist IMO. Basically every track she releases is quite nice, but i still have to find a really impressive song from her. Her voice is quite amazing, though.

I don't know if Maroon 5 will lose the top spot this week, but certainly they are becoming quite annoying for the other artists in my chart. :lol:

It's amazing to see you're paying attention to my albums chart too, i find it as important as my songs chart! 4 has a really great longevity, out of the big albums released last year (Femme Fatale, Born This Way, 21 etc.) it has the highest number of re-entries. I play it very often from start to finish, it's her most solid effort, so refreshing and enjoyable!

Wipe Your Eyes is superb, i can't believe it's just a bonus track. It needs to be a single ASAP, it has a lot of potential.

As i've already said, it's not THAT unlikely. Gotye and fun. are strong competitors, they often re-enter my chart, but so does Lana, they have always a little difference of points. Payphone was too recent to chart in my mid-year Top 5, but at the end of its chart-run it will have an high amount of points too, it all depends on how much longevity it will have, apart from the weeks at the top.

The actual record is doubled by Britney (7 non-consecutive weeks at #1 for Hold It Against Me, and 7 consecutive weeks for Till The World Ends), so they need just one more week at the top to reach her. It's interesting to see that Moves Like Jagger (my most played song last year) had also 6 non-consecutive weeks at #1 last year, just like Payphone now. I can tell you that now Payphone looks like it could be #2 by the end of the week, but i don't know how things will change, considering it looked the same last week too (P!nk lost the number one spot by 3 or 4 plays).
