Although it was released in 1995 and 1996 in the UK this never even managed to crack the top 20, despite being the sort of song that you'd usually find at the top end of the charts and being a massive hit in Europe and the US!

Melanie Thornton the vocalist sadly died in 2001 in a plane crash.

One of my favorite euro-dance songs. Just a classic tune 8-)

La-da-da-dee-da-dar-da-dar

There is no mistaking that vocal in the intro. For some reason this track reminds me of the Power Rangers - it's funny how certain songs bring back certain memories.

Classic quintessentially-90s dance track. My family actually owned the whole album

This was their biggest hit in Australia, peaking at #2.

Great Eurodance classic! However, I always liked Sweet Dreams a little bit more.
In Germany, "Sweet Dreams" was their debut single, peaking at number 8, followed by "Be My Lover" which went to number one. In the US, it was the other way around, "Be My Lover" was released first.

Me too! That was one of my tunes of 1996 I think. It was a bit of a flop though here. :(

Great typical, paint-by-numbers 90's Europop track, love it!

I also have it on my gym workout playlist, and it always reminds me of my trip to New York as it came on when I went for to eat at Planet Hollywood
