Just got back from watching this. Great film. Soo long though. Also not much batman at times felt like Bane and Catwoman feat. Batman. The end was very interesting (trying not to give much away)

I did not even realise how long it was, I loved EVERY MINUTE!
It was one of the best movies I'll ever see in the cinema, I think I screamed out "YES!" like a geek at certain parts. Catwoman is fantastic! Can't believe all the plot twists! And the ending!!!

Yeah Anne Hathaway was amazing as was Tom Hardy (?)

Don't get me wrong it was a great film but some parts seemed too preachy and overdrawn to me. Too much hype I guess.

I lol'd at his voice at first, wasn't expecting that. Didn't fit his voice but later on in the movie, it changed a bit and worked better.

I've stayed away from everything related to this movie: trailers, reviews, synopsises, etc...
I want this to be special.

2 hours 50 minutes - doesn't seem like it!

It's the most un-superheroic superhero film ever! We don't see Batman till an hour in - Catwoman is never referred to as this and she doesn't get magically bitten by a horde of cats. She is simply Selina Kyle, Cat Burglar and athletic assassin. Bane is fearsome, but Hardy has a hard task conveying emotion when most of his face is hidden - he resembles a beefed up Darth Vader. It's a quite intricate plot with lots of threads that come together amazingly. Basically a film about terrorism and faith - the hero/ villain costumes are almost incidental. It could be James Bond. Very much a film for adults and older children - most of it will bore or go right over young kids' heads.

Michael Caine had me in tears.
And nice to see Scarecrow again

Would have been nice to see more of Aiden Gillen and Juno Temple. Though Tom Conti was a pleasant surprise.

4/5 (verging on a 4.5 if i gave such marks!)

^ Yes, the surprise cameos were so good!
I knew about the backstory of Ra's Al Ghul (trying not to spoil here) but it all came together so beautiful and Nolan completely pulled the wool over the most hardcore of bat fans!

Regarding the ending (and PLEASE DO NOT REVEAL THIS!!), Nolan says it's meant to be open to your own interpretation, it is what you want it to be. I think introducing the notion of Robin (John Blake) surely means Wayne is still alive, unless Robin is set to take over from Batman? What would be the point of having a Robin in the film if there was no future Batman?

Exactly.

The ending was the best part. I think the movie was far too long for what it had to offer. I was bored for about half an hour in the middle.

No. That's not meant to be taken literally! Mark Kermode was on 5 Live talking about how the ending is meant to be open to interpretation. Alfred may be seeing Bruce alive with a woman because - as he said earlier - that is what he wished to see. Kermode said Nolan said this is what he intended with the ending. It's like Inception , it's supposed to be ambiguous. Was Selina at his funeral?

No, she wasn't.
I saw it as literal, I took it as literal. The movie isn't Inception or Memento. There were no other scenes where the viewer was meant to wonder if it was real or not so why would that one suddenly be?

Saw this today and I loved it. Was so epic

Can't fault her performance in the film because she played the part well, but I still think given her past acting roles Anne Hathaway was a wrong pick for Catwoman?

I didn't see her as a Catwoman but I think she fit the role perfectly in the end. She kicked ass.
