From Madonnarama:

Madonnarama reader Stephen shares:
- Madonna was in great form and the show did not start until 9pm15.

- Madonna mentioned the time restrictions again at the Edinburgh show, but was less chatty than usual. Since they couldn´t start the show earlier due to technical difficulties(again) they had to cut 2 songs in order to finish it in time !

- The hotel scene was back during “Gang Bang”.

- Madonna didn’t sing “Like a Virgin” and “I’m Addicted” at tonight’s @MDNA concert in Edinburgh. I’m presuming rain. It could have been the curfew, but when Madonna started to strip it was raining then next song was “I’m a Sinner”.

- There was also no slacklining during the “Nobody Knows me” interlude.

From MadonnaTribe Facebook page :

Edinburgh Is No Madonna Virgin

Oh what a night! Madonna's concert in Edinburgh was certainly a night to remember, for a whole bunch of reasons. Here's a short recap of what happened tonight at Murrayfield.

- Early Entry fans were treated with an extremely long sound-check. Even fans with general admission tickets had a chance to enjoy part of it.

- During the sound check Madonna mentioned that they were having problems with local authorities who were imposing a curfew for the show. Madonna said that if they were going to pull the plug, that would not be their's fault. Madonna also joked saying that they were doing an special extra long sound-check just in case the show was going to cut short.

- And that's exactly what happened! At the end of "Human Nature" no piano raised from the stage and instead the "Nobody Knows Me" interlude started. "Like A Virgin" was not performed and also the dancers' and slackliners' performance during the interlude was missing. At the same time it started raining and that left fans confused about the reason for this change in the setlist. Then, the interlude ended and the Kalakan trio appeared on stage. "I'm A Sinner" started and we realized that also "I'm Addicted" was going to miss from tonight's show.

- The show ended 2 minutes before 11 PM. There was no mention of the shorter setlist nor an official explanation yet. While rain wasn't helping, Madonna performed both "Like A Prayer" and "Celebration" on the main stage as well as on the catwalk exposed to the elements, so it seems that a 11 PM curfew is the reason for tonight's change in plans.

- The show started in twilight with the sky still completely lit - and we think this is worth reporting as the initial comments about what happened tonight at Murrayfield will certainly take into consideration the chance to start the show earlier as it happened in London. Actually everything was ready and we don't see Madonna being "lazy" and coming on stage at 9.30 instead of 9.10, so the amount of daylight in the Scottish skies tonight could have played its part.

- The Madonna speech was also pretty short and there wasn't any "Sagarra Jo" moment with the fans at the end of the Kalakan performance.

- Madonna wore a leather jacket to keep herself warm during "Turn Up The Radio" and later took it off "because you know how to make a girl sweat".

^ I wonder about the attendance, before the show they said more than 40.000 tickets were sold, can't wait to know the next boxscore.

Btw despite some bla bla bla, it must be remarked that she is likely to end to sell more tickets with this tour in UK now than she did last time for the Sticky

That was really unprofessional and disrespectful of Madonna. She knew about the curfew, so she could've gone on stage earlier instead of cutting 2 songs. Very unfair to Scottish fans.

One thing that can´t be said about Madonna is that she is unprofessional . She rehearsed/soundchecked for 45 minutes, and according to some fans attending this show, apologized in advance for the possible curfew.
They had technical difficulties (again) and couldn´t go on with the show earlier, that´s why 2 songs ended up being cut.

Here's an interesting fan review posted on MN

Ok lets take stock of last night. To begin the stadium was about 90% full, a couple of empty sections but a huge amount of people at the gig. Personally I was surprised how many people were at the show. She came one just after nine, by which time the crowd was in a state of frenzy. One of the best crowds I have ever had at a Madonna show and they went insane when she came on. The show was amazing, she was in a brilliant mood and the stage is just stunning. Everyone around me was on their feet singing and dancing all through, we never sat down once. A huge amount of love for her.

All the songs were well received, particularly the old ones, and yes I was disappointed she cut a couple of songs but most people would be unaware of this as they are not Madonna geeks like us. Its her perogative to change her show, most artists do it, she has not signed a legally binding contract with us to perform a specific set list, so get over it. For me the only song that did not work was Revolver.

I was sitting with two women who had never seen her before and they said they did not know her new stuff, but they sang and danced all the way through and after the show vocalised how she had completely blown them away and it was much better than they expected. Like watching a movie, the said.

My friends on the other side complained of sound problems, but I believe this was the acoustics of the venue.

Overall a brilliant well received show. How this can be reviewed badly, I have no idea, but hey this is Madonna and people hate her for the fact of who she is.

Although I totally adore "Love Spent", there's no other way than releasing "Gang Bang" as a single.
When you're ready come and get it.
