5. KATY PERRY - Wide Awake: 149.416 (+ 1.652)

Wide Awake is coming for E.T.`s weave! 8-) By the way, now, when it is #1 on Pop according to kworb, does it mean that it will be #1 on Billboard`s Pop Songs? :D
No. On Kworb the song with most spins is No.1, on Billboard the one with the highest AI.

+ Billboard uses a totally different airplay chart anyway..

Katy should be number 2 this week.. and number 1 next week!!!!! wow 7 number 1's from 1 album.. and a top 3.. 8 top 3's from one record....

I don't care what anyone says she broke michaels record.. they counted usher's rereleasse and mariahs rerelease and rihannas rerelease as singles from that album.. why make it any different for her..

She didn't.

Billboard makes the rules... So get over it already.

It's so amazing to watch her putting out singles after singles reaching the top spot in the USA. I expect nothing less from her next era. Maybe not the same amount of success, but surely a few number ones. 8-)

She has the record for the album with most #1s from multiple releases.

And tied with MJ for the album with most #1s from 1 release.

Seems fair to me

Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" remains at No. 3 on the Hot 100, taking on top Airplay Gainer honors as it lifts 5-4 on Radio Songs (111 million, up 15%). The song also gains on On-Demand Songs (6-6; 653,000, up 4%), while falling to No. 3 after a week atop Digital Songs (170,000, down 17%).

With the overall Hot 100 points declines of "Payphone" and "Awake" significantly lower than that of "Maybe," the tracks could compete in a tight race for No. 1 next week.

Yes it does if she keeps that position until Sunday!!

It would be her 9th Pop Songs/CHR/Top 40 number #1 !! :D

Based on that calculation.... Katy would have been number 2 on billboard...

Based on that calculation One stream is equal to about .05 of 1 download you multiply that by a million you get 50,000....

So I took .05 and multiplied it times all the top 3 streams from katy carly and maroon 5 and it puts katy at number 2. and maroon at number 3..

I did a few more calculations and it look like streaming is worth way more than we expected.. once i got to .08 that's when maroon 5 was number 2..

so it seems 1 million ODS equals 80k downloads... you can check my match but i think i'm accurate... streaming holds way to much weight.

No - "Bad" had 5 No 1 singles, as did the original "Teenage Dream".

"Part Of Me" was the 6th from the TD era (i.e. including the re-released album) which put Katy 'ahead' if we include re-released albums.

What KatyVenezuela said was the most accurate way of putting it.
Counting down the days until 21 outsells Morning Glory in the UK.

"Payphone" by Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa logs its sixth week at #2. Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" spends its second week at #3. These two songs are expected to wage a fierce contest with "Call Me Maybe" for #1 next week. I think I'll put my money on Perry, which could mean a seventh week at #2 for Maroon 5. Stay tuned.

Re-releases are cheap ways to achieve more No.-1-singles but it should definately be fair to count them, as long as they are still connected to the original album in some way.

I am not sure but I think Billboard said Part of Me wont count as her 6th #1 from the same album.

Yeah I agree... especially since the sales for the re-release was counted to the original album sales as far as I'm concerned...
