Awww *bows down to this topic* - I've been seriously thinking of buying this album - I used to LOVE Delta but 'OOTB' was somewhat of a disappointment to me. But yeah, after reading all your comments i'm gonna order it now!

:D Everyone who hasn't heard any track on "Mistaken Identity" yet, you all should consider getting the album because it's better than "Innocent Eyes." While her first album was a pretty light, melodic affair, this one is heavier, deeper, and more dramatic with its sweeping orchestral production. Everything's just done in a grander scale, like what Delta states during the interview portions of the bonus DVD that comes with the special limited edition version of the album. For people in the US who might be interested, copies of "Mistaken Identity" can be found at Tower Records. They usually sell the deluxe edition, so if you just wanna get the CD itself, you might be out of luck. What's the video for "Mistaken Identity" look like?

I love this album, I got it the other day, and I wasn't disappointed as the follow-up to the excellent 'Innocent Eyes'.

My favourite album track is probably 'Last Night On Earth'. The next single 'Mistaken Identity' is a grower.

You know, I've read a few reviews that have stated this is song is corny and mundane with its lyrical content. But I really like it too!

My favourites on the cd are:
Almost here
Disorientated
Be strong
Fragile
Miscommunication
A little too late
The analyst
Extraordinary day
Last night on earth
I'll be the bitch tonight (I'll show you bitch - bitch!)
Beautiful, Intelligent, Talented, Cool, Honey.
Sure you're right I'm a B.I.T.C.H!!!

I'd say my top 14 now would be:

1 Eletric Storm
2 Mistaken Identity
3 A Little Too Late
4 The Analyst
5 Extraordinary Day
6 Be Strong
7 Almost Here
8 Disorientated
9 Last Night On Earth
10 Out Of The Blue
11 Miscommunication
12 Sanctuary
13 You Are My Rock
14 Fragile

Top 8 are all extremely close though. 8-)
Overall a better album than Innocent Eyes, no bad tracks whereas IE had "This Is Not Me" :o

What has everybody got against Fragile, it was voted out first on survivor and so low in personal charts! Personally it's my favourite on there, can't believe be strong is the next single!! :(

I love "Fragile", I played it today on the way home. It's amazing, one of her best ballads. Definitely my favourite ballad on the album (beats OOTB, BS and AH hands down!).

I heard that the American album would be mistaken identity + a few better tracks from Innocent Eyes.

As for Be Strong to be the next single, I think it was a pretty obvious choice. I'd like Elteric Storm or Last Night On Earth to be 5th

"Be Strong" to me would be an obvious choice - for a B-side.

I think she's lost it as far as choosing the right songs for singles - first the mediocre "Out Of The Blue", then the sicky "Almost Here" and now "Be Strong"!

My choices for singles from the album would be:

1. Mistaken Identity
2. Electric Storm
3. The Analyst
4. A Little Too Late
5. Fragile / Disorientated (double A-side)
6. Last Night On Earth

Well now apparently "Almost Here" will be the last single in Australia in April, as she's rumoured to be recording an album for release in November :o

I'm guessing you're saying that that's a bad song, whereas I like it (dunno why, but I do - there are other songs on that album worse than that song)...

Anyhoo, prolly cos Brian's trying to crack our market, why not release AH as a single here (well, considering MI has "flopped" in a sense for Delta here [which sucks, cos it's the best single she's had IMO] & the fact that it's being released in the UK, that all adds to it)....

I think it's a bad idea doing another album in time for November (unless it's like a Xmas album or something), she hasn't given this one enough time to grow in sales & by Delta standards, it hasn't exactly done so well (I don't know how the concert sales are going here, but the last I heard was that they've charged too much & cos she's also playing big arenas like the Superdome & the Entertainment Centre in Sydney [the Ent Cent holds 11,500, not sure about the Superdome] for the first time without doing smaller arenas in Oz first [which is usually the case with artists who tour here], the seats aren't filling up)....

I personally think she may have rushed this album & yeah, releasing Be Strong would be a bad idea (heard her sing it once on TV, I obviously didn't like it) - like Aneta said, I think she may have lost the plot & it's a real shame that Mistaken Identity hasn't been a big hit in Australia cos it's a great song IMO...

As much as i like 'MI' - i think she should. Compared to her last album, this is rubbish. Hence why she's brining out another.

Found this on CC:

Code: Select all
Hi. I work in music promo position in London UK
Heres what i know -
1) Its impossible to buy Mistaken Identity album in any record store (unless you can manage to cadge one collecting dust out the back) Internet sites such as CDWow, HMV etc are selling the last of the stock

2) MI single has been cancelled -for now

3) So far we've been told a single will arrive on May 30 or May 23rd But don't want to clash with Coldplay (why?) it's a double a-side which will feature a new track plus either Mistaken Identity, Analyst or Electric Storm it depends on how long they have to film a video (if theres no time it'll be Oz's MI video)

4) 1 week after the single is out the album is re-released with a MASSIVE promo campaign the tracklisting is as follows

1. TBA (New song)
2. The Analyst
3. Mistaken Identity
4. Sanctuary
5. A Little Too Late
6. Be Strong
7. Last Night On Earth
8. Almost There-With Brian McFadden
9. Miscommunication
10. Electric Storm
11. Extraordinary Day
12. Fragile
13. Disorientated
14. Out Of The Blue
15. TBA
16. TBA: Video

:( So Delta's going to end up re-releasing her new album just because it didn't match the commercial acclaim of her other one? That sucks...Well, I guess I'm going to have to go get it if it's released. Hopefully it'll feature a whole lot of new crap since there's supposed to be another massive promotion campaign for it (as you all have said). Wait, so "Out Of The Blue," "Almost Here," and "Mistaken Identity" have definitely been released as singles in at least one part of the world, right? Just checking.

That's utter crap!
They would not bump OOTB all the way down to track 14!
And we still have plenty of copies of the album in my store.
It's complete crap!
