Question, has there ever been an album that was certified or re-certified from an artist that left the label? Just as Madonna recently left Warner, what are the chances of certifying her catalog and her latest greatest hits album again, if she left them for another label?

I think some of Prince's albums were also certified after his Warner exit like 1999 (in '99) and The Very best of Prince (in '02 and '04)

^It's not that kind of a list.

It's based on confirmed SS numbers.

Examples:

Greatest Hits, Doobie Brothers, 2.2 million, not certified

In The Zone, Britney Spears, 2.9 million, yet 3xp

I Am Sasha Fierce, Beyonce, 3.0 million, yet 2xp

American Idiot, Green Day, 6 million, yet 5xp

DOAD is a 1cd album, not 2xp.
