It already reached No. 1 on ITunes. It can't reach No. 1 on the Singles Chart because it's just No. 5 on Amazon and No. 2 and musicline, but still outstanding (take it in a negative or a positive way) that such a song is heading for the top spot on the chart.

Not only that it's not what I'd call non-commercial, but it also happens with no radio support (yet) and I only saw the music video once late at night

.

Still haven't changed my mind about the song though...

I don't know much about such things - but I think it was mentioned fairly recently that almost all top ten hits do get that nowadays? Others will surely know.....

It should be certified Gold, yes... it's #27 in the year to date chart and almost all of the songs in the top 50 are already certified at least Gold. Even a minor hit like Pitbull's "International Love" (#67) which peaked at #21 has Gold already.

Although this might have charted weeks (or months) earlier if it would have been allowed to.

honestly, i was shocked that Turn Me On isn't Gold yet. I searched a few pages because i thought it was posted a few months ago that it's Gold, but i didn't found it!...

The same thing is here in Switzerland. I'm sure it's Gold or even Platinum here, but no cert so far.

that would be Pietro Lombardi, i think (he stayed for 3 weeks, iirc).

ps: the last time before Pietro could have been Paul Potts in 2008 (4 weeks #1), but i'm not sure whether he debuted on #1 or just climbed there, in 2007 we have Mark Medlock.
