Mariah Carey :: The "Triumphant" Era

Think it's about time we start a thread already, according to some source the first single, "Triumphant (Get 'Em) feat. Rick Ross" will go to US Radio on August 7th, with the album dropping in October.

A 30-sec snippet of the song just leaked and it sound very urban, plus with all the American Idol promo she'll get, this is building to be a very exciting new era for Miss Carey!

Name and an august release for the single were already published on Billboard, when I started the organization for these "era" threads it was common sense that to start one, we should need at least an official release of a single/album name, we have more than enough to do so. As for other dates, well, one cannot name it's sources sometime, sorry :wink:

but the song is about to drop anytime, the video has already been shot this sunday.

EDIT: btw, the album release date is not set in stone yet, it might be moved to November depending on the single's response.

Well my sources say there is no album date set yet...and august 7th is not a set stone yet.

Anyway Mariah tweeted we will be getting news every day this week so I'm sure we'll either get a date or we'll hear the song by the end of the week.

Mariah is "Triumphant" because her husband didn't die last January/February which he easily could have when his kidney's failed and he got blood clots in his lungs.

She's not playing the victim.

You know the new era is starting when haters start commenting.

I expect a much better album than MOIA and better sales and chart positions. We all know Mariah can deliver if she wants and i feel that she's enthusiastic about this era.

From the snippet.. I completely disagree..

The uk like urban music (even though it's no THAT urban) a lot more these days..

It is more likely to succeed in the UK over the rest of Europe.

If it's a good album then she will sell between 2/3million, but if it's naff like her last one then sales will be about 1million or just a bit higher.
