I'm buying this when it's in itunes tonight BUT still this is one of the most underwhelming eras ever! nothing wowed other than Big Hoops (the song, the video was just meh) so the album better be perfect!

Big Hoops had lots of promotion though if I remember correctly. It just never took off almost anywhere... And now they probably have a backlash from that which is effecting the promotion of her follow up.

Big Hoops had promo but it was on a moment that it didn't helped anymore tbh. They released the song, without a big premiere in the US, it came around 400 on itunes, they moved the radio adds date 2 times, watched it basically die, no banners on itunes or youtube all the time and then did a bit of promo.

Worldwide it also basically came out of nowhere, atleast she got some support of MTV, but that also didn't seem to have helped her and she did some promo, but I guess that also didn't helped anymore at that point.

Oh my god, did you check Amazon.de lately? They post-poned the single again to August 17, then they now decided to release it on August 3 though. She is not even near a debut in the Top 100 in Germany, she is around #12000 on Amazon with the 2-Track CD. Nobody buys this - i haven't seen the video here, no performance, no advertisement, the album will go the same way. We thought that artists like Nelly Furtado will sell no matter what, but her break was too long, people move on, not even half of the people who bought "Loose" will buy this album cause most of the people in Germany don't even know about it. I predict a debut of the single near inside the Top 75 somewhere like "Big Hoops" and Top 40 debut for the album with a big fall in the second week. :cry:

heard that she's performin on Schlag den Raab in September near the album release date, so this should help to get a (album charts) top10 peak at least

germany is her biggest market (comparatively) she shud come here and do some promo.

had she released this follow-up to Loose in 2007/8 she would have gotten another million seller here.

She should also do some promo in the Netherlands! We love her over here! Big Hoops was "Alarmschijf" at Radio 538, one of the biggest stations here. (Alarmschijf means that the song will get more spins than other songs, some sort of promotion for the song) A lot of her singles in the past were "Alarmschijf" so she's quite popular around here.. Also, all her singles of Folklore were hits over here, even Explode. Please Nelly, don't forget our country!

Artists basically almost never do promo here beside Enrique Inglesias and some others.
We only have "Live 4 You" basically which does performances every week, maybe she could come to perform on The Voice, but other than that I don't see it happening
