the main question is.. where was Canada? Isn't Hockey like their national sport? I so expected them to snatch gold without any effort.

So many predicted gold didn't happen in this Olympics so I'm not even surprised.

I love how my dad reckons he's an expert in sports that he has probably not even heard of until 2 weeks ago. He was trying to explain the diving

Also all the national anthems sound the same  Where's the dubstep?

TBH I just wanted USA to beat China in the Gold & total medal standings, we've won it 4 times in the last 5 Olympics ('96,'00,'04,'12) only lost the Gold medal race in '08 against host nation China, but we still won the total medal race, making it 5 Olympics in a row we lead it.

Delighted for Bolt and Farrah!

Can't believe it's all over tomorrow. What a brilliant two weeks. I've enjoyed every minute I watched.

My brother went and said it was amazing just being there experiencing the atmosphere. I could have gotten tickets to the tennis but I didn't have time to go so I'm a bit disappointed I missed it.

Unless Japan somehow get another gold medal in the next day or so, looks like my country's going to finish in 10th on the medal tally. Given our bad start & late gold rush of sorts, I'm quite happy with that placing.

Beat Japan.
Brazil v Mexico men's on now.
Women's "soccer" is massive in the US, as I learnt from Bend It Like Beckham. They're the best team in the world according to the FIFA rankings. They've won 2 world cups, 4 olympic golds and 8 Algarve Cups
Ah, yeah! I've seen that film! I must have heard but forgot! Shame i missed it - lost interest when GB went out.

That Chicerova is a spider woman!

It was predicted here that NZ would win 5 gold medals... and we actually did! They also said we'd win 15 medals overall, but we were close.

NZ did fantastically these games :D
One for the money, two for the show, I love you honey, I'm ready ready to go...
