Nooo give Flavours of Entanglement a try instead! Or maybe So-Called Chaos! Jagged Little Pill is so overrated.
I never listened to "Flavours...".

No, it's not! :( I genuinely love every single song on it, and I can rarely say that about rock/alternative albums.

You should! Including the bonus tracks. Tapes alone is one of her best songs.

Listen! :D Well in my opinion it is of course a great album but in the grand scheme of things I find it overrated. ;)

What kind of songs do you enjoy the most Sam? Deep & thoughtful songs, up-tempo and fun, angry...? This will help me pin-point which one of her albums to suggest to people. :P

Hope I like it! :)
Oh noooo I'm not dissing this album but for newbies it's not a best one to start with! :x Try Flavours Kev. :D
Too late! I have already started.

First impressions...

Guardian - nice pop tune.
Woman Down - cheesy; sounds almost like Avril Lavigne.
Til You - good lyrics, potential grower.

UPDATE:
+ Celebrity and Lens are great!! :D

P.S.: I also like "Empathy".

All of the above, but probably deep and thoughtful over the others. My favourite Alanis tracks are "Perfect" and "Forgiven", if that helps?

My first impression is that.....I like it :D I don't think it's as good as FOE, JLP or SFIJ but I like how lighthearted it is. There's also some really great rock choruses on it. Current favourites are Numb and Recieve. However it seems like I am the only one who isn't really fussed about Edge Of Evolution :-?

Shocked people like this over SCC already, I still think that SCC is too underrated. :( I know Stevyy agrees with me on SCC being one of her best. :D

My rating is based on my favorites, and not on quality.. because ALL of those albums are quality albums, in my opinion. :D

I like this album a lot. Probably up in the top 3 for me, beating SCC, URS, and even SFIJ already. I'm kinda shocked that I love it instantly, as her past albums took me around 3 to 4 listens to fully appreciate them.

My most favourite would be Receive, it's so relatable! Til' You, Woman Down, Celebrity and Numb are also very good tracks. Surprisingly, Guardian is my least favourite song in the album IMO. But there are no weak tracks at all!

The album is kind of a mixed bag, in a good way. There are slow ballads, 90's sounding, AC radio stuffs, and straight out rock. There's a wide spectrum of sounds going on, and I like it. :D

I think this is her most mainstream album. The songs are very radio-ready, and would comfortably place inside the top 40 if we were still in the 2000's.
 + + :D

Good effort. I like it more than FOE, still I feel it is a little too safe and predictable coming from Alanis. My favourite tracks are probably Til You, Edge of Evolution and Celebrity.
