oh well i thought it was upon the replay(i know makes no sense).....im not sure if its barbados slang tho...becuz elephant man had Pon De Riva Pon De Bank...so i think its just carribean in particular..becuz im pretty sure elephant man is jamaican..

yup it means 'on the replay'. [pon=ON] as for it being from Barbados, its actually a slang thats been a part of the creole vernacular spoken by some Caribbean islands. In Jamaica its quite popular as well as places like Trinidad and yes Barbados.

well i doubt she'll be mentioning anything about coolie now as that is viewed as a derogatory term by most Bajans and trinis and some jamaicans & guyanese (its sorta like the whole N word issue). its normally used to describe persons that are of some east indian descent and its considered offensive to those people. Cool runnings still, i just lettin u know still.
