Okay, I'll start writin' little som'thin' 'bout me.

I'm 19 (next month). I came across this site when I was compiling a list of my favorite songs and been hooked to this site and met loads of great people here since then.

I like music, but I wouldn't consider myself a big fan as I love (in order of preference): 1) films, 2)medicine, 3) tennis & 4) novels more.

Is there anyone else from Asia?

I don't think many people know much about me on here apart from me spamming the pop section :lol:

so let me make a proper introduction

I'm Colin (hence the 'col' part of my username :wink:

), and live far far away in a crappy little area in the drunk's country

I'm verging on 17 next month. I actually came across this site by mistake when I had free wap on my phone last year. I used to check it every now and again to see what new stuff was going to come out. And then when I finally got the internet (only dial-up :oops:

) last October, I decided to sign up for UKMIX and have posting since!

I love music, have always done since being little sprout. Have bought over 400 CD's so far, but I think I've been a bit more easy buying with my money lately.

Well that's me then :wink:

You prolly all know me by now anyway, but here goes....

I'm Shelley, 21 (nearly 22), from the harbour city of Sydney in Australia. I pretty much like all kinds of music (as you might've seen on the forums, although I don't visit the R&B forum very often, it'd have to be one of my least fave genres, but I do listen to some of it), but the main genres I listen to are either rock or pop/rock. That's pretty much all you need to know, the rest you'll find out or have found out already.

I tend to post most in R&B, Gossip, and TV & Film... My favourite band is Black Eyed Peas, and fast becoming Danity Kane... My most played CDs would have to be Beyonce - Dangerously In Love, Christina Aguilera - Stripped, and BEP - Monkey Business... My favourite TV shows are Lost, Desperate Housewives, and Prison Break... My favourite movie is Sin City! I play feild Hockey, and love to watch Tennis!

Well as most people here know I'm Martin (or Martay!), I'm 17 from good old sheep land that is Wales. I'm a music freak, my favourite singers/groups are Cher, Cyndi Lauper, Pink, Delta Goodrem, ABBA, Girls Aloud, Alanis Morissette, Shakira, Janet Jackson and I am fast becoming obsessed with Jewel! I'm also fanatic about Charmed and Sabrina The Teenage Witch :lol:

Matthew Dixon (as the cunningly disguised username suggests), 25, English but living in Cardiff in Wales.

Global moderator around these parts and spend far too much time on UKMIX.
Work for Legal and General doing senior administration work.
A devout Christian and strongly involved in my local church where I am a church warden.

Those three things pretty much occupy my time at the moment.

OK, my turn...

Marius is my first name (as some of you already know).

I'm 29 (which makes me one of the oldest Mixers - at least among the regular posters), was born in Romania, but now live and work in the City of London.

I first came to UKMix after googling "all time chart", which brought me to Matthew's all time chart thread. For about 8 months, I only read the chart section, but around a year ago, I decided to post something in a Queen survivor thread... and it seems I couldn't stop posting eversince.

Oh, alright then...

I'm Eric, 28 y/o, and I'm from the Netherlands. I discovered UKmix through surfing the net in 2004 looking for new interesting dance/trance/club releases, and decided to register - took a few months until I could finally post anything, but it was worth it - the best music forum I've seen so far.

My main interest are music (anything from ABBA to Within Temptation, but mostly dance music) and movies - some of my favourites include the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Kill Bill movies, Titanic, The Sixth Sense (and anything else with an unexpected ending) as well as my most recent favourites Lucky Number Slevin and the terrifying United 93, which I saw yesterday.

As far as TV series go, I don't really watch anything apart from Will & Grace and Absolutely Fabulous.

Thanks! Yeah, have always liked the Belgian dance scene, especially Jessy, DHT and Milk Inc. In fact, I have just received a few singles I ordered through a Belgian website - Ian van Dahl's "Just a girl" and Jessy & Micky Modelle's new mixes of "Dancing in the dark"

- as well as Kelly Clarkson's "Walk away" single, which seems to have been released only in Belgium. In the Netherlands and some other territories, we got "Breakaway" instead.

I like Ian van Dahl, although they've disappointed me occasionally ("Inspiration" comes to mind). But still, I've got all of their singles, including the UK single "Believe" and the German double A-side "Secret love"/"Try", as well as both albums.

And yeah, I love Kelly Clarkson - one of the very few artists who sounds just as remarkably good live as the does on record.

Okay,

My name's Chris as if you didn't know already. I'm 28 years old, and I've been around on this site for a few years now.

I work in IT for a local ISP giving Technical Support to customers and clients.

I run some regular features on the site:

Chart Challenge - A weekly Chart Prediction game
Ultimate Chart - a periodic chart countdown based on YOUR votes

In addition, I also run other sporadic topics, sometimes with a quizzical feel to them

I love music to bits, from all eras and across all genres, although you'd be most likely to find me in "Pure Pop" than any of the other genre forums, and I hate 99% of the urban music that gets released nowadays.

Other than that, I like pool/snooker and other sports/games, chilling out with my mates watching a movie, and reality TV. Things like The Apprentice, Big Brother, Pop Idol etc.

I love different types of music apart from hardcore metal and the dance tunes with a little girl singing in a high pitched voice!! :wink:

You will see me in the Pop, R&B and TV forums.

I play basketball weekly as part of a team and i also work in Subway the franchise!Amazing! :wink:

I also love going to watch films and my fav programmes are The O.C, The X Factor, Big Brother and sometimes Eastenders and Prison Break.

Wow, so you're not actually a Jon? How did that come about? You're pretty mature for your age dude, I thought you were in your 20s!

As for me, I'm Rob (obviously). I'm a 20 year student studying architectural engineering at Cardiff University, though I'm a Reading-boy at heart as I still live here over summer. I tend to stick mostly to the dance forum and have a passion for breaks, commercial drum'n'bass, funky house and electronica.
