Your Favourite Ever Footballer

Who is your favourite ever footballer?????

I admire a whole host of great footballers including Puskas,Jimmy Jonstone,John Charles,Zico,George Best,Pele, and a whole host of others.

But my favourite ever is without doubt Henrik Larsson, the effort he puts in for any team he plays for is unreal. We were very lucky to have such a great team player at Celtic for 7 years.

He did the business for whoever he played for,and was capable of scoring sensational goals,at a drop of a hat.

On and off the pitch he was a cool guy,and a brilliant example to all young footballers how to conduct yourself, both in and out the game.

Gianfranco Zola - the most entertaining player @ Chelsea in my lifetime. No ego like most players of his class. A top role model who played the game in the right spirit.

Cannot agree with you more oasisbobo,Jinky was a legend,a great man and footballer.I love the footage of him against Leeds in the 1970 semi final of the Eurpean Cup.Those lucky 136,000 Celtic fans packed into Hampden seeing Jinky at his best.

Can't choose between ERIC CANTONA, & BRYAN ROBSON.
ERIC, for his undoubted talent, & also the effect he had on the team during his time at OT, listen to any interview with the likes of Beckham, Giggs, Keano, etc., & they'll all say he was the missing piece in the jigsaw, the player who made them all tick, his influence on the young players around him was imeasurable.
ROBBO,if ever a player gave everything for his team ROBBO was that player, throughout the '80's as United mostly struggled in the shadow of Liverpool, I lost count of the amount of times he single handedly dragged United through matches, covering every blade of grass on the pitch, making goal line clearances one minute, scoring at the other end the next, the only regret I have for ROBBO is United didn't start to become a great team until near the end of his career.

As a reformed Norwich City fan and admirer of Celtic, it'd be wrong for me to say anyone other than Chris Sutton.

Bryan Gunn is also well worth a mention on the Norwich side too.
This post is highly unlikely to be serious. Please treat it accordingly. Unless it's music-related, in which case I'm damn well right.

Hey thelazyboy Norwich City are cool, one of my mates supports them, and of course Peter Grant,a true ex Celtic player from the 80s is their current manager, let us hope he has a long reign.

And another thing thelazyboy, you are really choosing the right colours for both your teams!!!!!So treat yourself to a Celtic top soon!!!!!!!!

Find it funny that Peter Mendham is up on murder charges after stabbing his girlfriend.

I wonder if it has anything to do with his illegitimate child :-?

Woops did I say that out loud
